We just decided to go to WDW in October and can't get a lunch reservation (which I fully expected). My son has a peanut/tree nut allergy & I've read that their menu is completely safe. We're fine not dining there but does anyone know if you can just go inside & purchase one of their cupcakes? They're the only ones I know of in MK that are safe. He's already going to be bummed that he can't have the popcorn due to coconut oil. He'd be so excited to try one of their fancy cupcakes! Thanks in advance!

I assumed that would be the case. Just thought I'd ask around here since someone would know for sure. Thanks for your help.

I have Celiac disease and BOG is the only place I can get gluten free cream puffs. I have been able to get in a few times at 11 am without a reservation. I order the cream puff, proceed to the dining room where I ask one of the cast members for a "to go" container, and when my cream puff arrives I put it in the container and leave.
It does take some time to get through the line to place your order, and because I have an allergy order it takes a while to be delivered, but it can be done.

If you only want the cupcakes and there will be more than one adult in your party (so someone can stay back with your son), try searching for a lunch ADR for one person.

BOG is fantastic for allergy-suffereers but it's not that their menu is safe, it's that they have the same menu items available for allergy sufferers. I have a tree nut allergy and my food was brought out separately to avoid cross-contamination but there were some differences. Like the millet bread instead of the normal roll at breakfast. The cupcakes had the chocolate decorations left off.

I LOVED the chocolate cupcake. When I die, heaven is going to be full of those cupcakes. I really hope your son gets to try them :-) As the others have said, cancellations happen all the time, especially the night before.

I also really recommend the Plaza ice cream place. They take allergies VERY seriously and I had the most fantastic sundaes there. The restaurant must have a separate kitchen though as the only dessert I could have was fruit. Not nearly as thrilling, lol.

That would be a great idea, if BOG had a walk-up window to get cupcakes to go!

Like others said, keep checking for lunch ADRs online, then just send one person in to buy a whole bunch of cupcakes! People change their plans and cancel ADRs all the time. Good luck!

OP, BoG is no "safer" than any other restaurant in Disney that takes extra precaution to provide a safe meal for people with food allergies. But they do have more unique options of allergy safe foods/treats it seems than some places. You won't be able to order take out, but October is pretty far away so keep checking regularly for availability. Especially around 30 days and one week out.

Sounds like a plan! I'll make sure to give that a try. Thanks so much!

Oh now I REALLY hope he gets to try the cupcakes!

We made two BOG same-day lunch ressies yesterday around 11 am while waiting in line for Buzz. Got one for one person at 12:35 and one for the other person at 12:40. Pre-ordered from my iPhone while sitting outside Star Traders. Enjoyed another ride or two and then had a lovely lunch.

So don't give up. We grabbed our ressies on a last-minute whim, and it worked out great.

Use the touring plans reservations finder to be notified when there's an available ADR at a time you want.
