Be Our Guest - new info

Everything Walt Disney World is stating this BoG counter service is going to be 2 credits and dinner is going to be 2 TS credits. They say they hear their info straight from Disney but won't say what the person does. I believe they are a travel agency.

The brochure that Disney put out for the 2013 Dining Plan lists BOG with the one-credit table service restaurants - not with the 2-credit signature restaurants. There are no 2-credit counter service restaurants.

is someone telling travel agents at Everything WDW that the brochure is incorrect? If they won't say what the person who told them does, then are we to assume they know the brochure is incorrect?

The latest info given out by the Disney Parks Blog (official Disney source) says dinner at BOG will not be a character meal.

I just noticed that under Be Our Guest Restaurant on the new 2013 food plan listing, it only says Lunch. Does this mean that only the counter service is scheduled to be opened by fall. Maybe the dinners won't be available until further into 2013?

It only says L for lunch under quick service because it offers a quick service meal only at that time - it is also listed under table service for D (dinner).
It just separates out which credits can be used for which meal, and clearly lists it as QS at lunch and TS at dinner. It is not listed under signature, so unless they change their minds before 2013 it will be 1TS credit at dinner, and 1QS at lunch.

I'll just say that if it's going to be a 2TS, we're never going to eat there. We didn't find the menu all that appealing but we thought that we'd like the check it out so we were hoping to dine there either this year or next. But if it's going to be 2TS, we'll pass. There are plenty of other places which hold much more appeal for only 1TS.

I have to agree, I have read the posted brochure and see no indication of anything other than 1 credit for either meal either there or anything I have read in the past. I also agree that I will not eat there if it is to be more as I see no reason to spend more, I made that same decision when they raised the credit for Le cellier, we used to eat there regular, but did not find the food worthy to pay 2 credits. I hope this is not a trend. If so, I might have to rethink my stance on the value of the DDP and go to the QS plan or forget dining plans all together, just thinking out loud here. I do enjoy the DDP, if for no other reason the fun of eating at a variety of places knowing my meals are already paid for before I leave my home, excecpt the tips of course.

Maybe I'm not reading your post properly, but the Disney website officially said its one CS credit at lunch and one TS credit at dinner......so I'm confused by your post.

The post is a bit vague if you don't know the source they are referring to. "Everything Walt Disney World" is a web page and a facebook account, and it is them saying that Be Our Guest will be 2 table service and 2 counter service. The poster didn't mean Disney proper was giving that information.

Hope that helps!
