Hi All! We will be arriving at VGF on July 4th and staying until the 12th. We received one of the email invites to book a QS lunch at Be Our Guest, but the dates they gave us are for the week before we arrive. : ( Called MS but was basically told she could do nothing but we could keep trying?!? Has this happened to anyone else and any suggestions for how to make this ressie for when we are on property? Thanks!

Not true- last date I have seen open right now was either July 7th or 8th. I have a reservation for July 1st and have not even gotten the invitation!

Go to the link in the e-mail and log in. You should be able to see the first 7 days of your stay as options to reserve.

If a day is not open (like July 9th or 10th), when you go through the reservation process you will be told "there are no FP available and to choose a different day". These days just need to open- they are not “sold out”. You should be able to reserve times for the first part of your stay right now without issue.

Also, if the first times that pop up are not what you are looking for, just hit the refresh button until you get the times you would like.

Yes, you do not need an invite, just go to BOG website and make reservation. It does not count as one of your three ride FP's either.

You can eat there without a FP for lunch- it is a quick service restaurant at lunch. BUT, without a FP there tends to be a pretty good sized line you have to wait in.

Some people get it through an invite (like the OP did) and others just go directly to the website and can make a FP reservation (like I did). The reservations are only open through the first week in July so far, and there is not really any rhyme or reason to how far in advance it is opening. The past month, it has been opening mostly day by day.

Thanks All! We received the email invite (it's a pilot program and sent out randomly, I believe) allowing us to do a special Fast Pass QS lunch where you choose your meal upon booking and they scan your MB upon arrival. However, the window of time they allotted for us to reserve was for the week before our check-in date. I'm so frustrated by this as this would be a great way to avoid long lines. Sigh...,.

Thanks PreemieMama, but the issue we're having is that when we click on the link we were sent, they are showing the week BEFORE we arrive as the week of our stay and those are the only dates we are allowed to reserve through this link. We live in PA, so this window is of no use to us. : (

That just sucks! Sorry! Keep trying- call the restaurant, maybe? I believe they are the ones who control the FP, not Disney Dining. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get someone who knows how to fix it- keep trying!

So please excuse my ignorance, but I'm still trying to get my hands around this new FP System. Being a "more mature" person, sometimes things just don't CLICK like they use too!

Yes, there is a separate FP+ that will expedite your seating or even allow you to order in advance and arrive at a particular time. The system is still in test mode, so you are supposed to get an invite. However, the link has worked for people who did not get the invite.

Castmember told me that I would receive an invite while checking in, but as a courtesy she could give me the link. I'm looking for July 17 and it still says no fastpass times available.

There are several threads about the BOG FP on the restaurant and dining reservations forums. It has been very inconsistent as to when the booking window has opened up. When I went in December it opened up about 30 days before I went. Lately it has been even more inconsistent where it was opening one day at a time. Right now I believe you cannot book past July 7 and it has been stuck there for quite some time.

Since this is a test of FP for a quick service restaurant, perhaps they are working on the website (which has had several problems of its own, including accepting only all number reservation codes). Or perhaps they decided to end the test and force everyone to wait in line. Since originally this was supposed to be by invitation only and the information was leaked, many people are booking FP even without the invite. Maybe this has overwhelmed their system so that the regular line has become much too long. Who knows? But if you are trying to make a FP for a date past July 7 you need to try everyday or at least check the threads on the restaurant forum to see when other dates open up.

To be clear, the FP is not "needed" at lunch- you can always go and eat there. You may just have a 30 minute (or more) long line to wait in to do so. The FP works like it does for rides by letting you bypass the line. You only need the ADR for dinner, otherwise it is like any other QS restaurant in MK in terms of its operation. It is the only one (so far) where a FP is being tested, though.

As the PPs said, it has been pretty inconsistent on when they are opening dates. All of May opened at once, but June went from a week at a time to a day at a time, and there were several times where it was "stuck" on a day for about a week before opening more. You will have quite a wait if you are still 90 days out! Keep checking on the restaurant board as the PP said- there is usually a thread for the month ahead that pops up letting people know when dates open. There is one now for July, which is how we know it is stuck somewhere around the 7th or 8th right now.

Are you saying the dates that they offer you are before your reservation date by a week? And are you traveling around July 4th? When I went into the site it showed my reservation dates beginning with November 29, 2014, the first day of our reservation and then it showed the rest of the dates of our reservation. Of course I couldn't make a BOG reservation for lunch, but it did show the correct dates. Does your room reservation show up correctly on MDE?

Hi DenLo. Yes, our room reservations and FP+ ride reservations are all correct on MDE, but yes, the dates they are offering through the email invite are for the seven days before we check-in. We check in on July 4th, and the last day we can make a reservation using this special email invite is July 3rd. As an earlier poster mentioned, if they had given us the right dates, we would have been able to pick a day/time/and pre-order our meals. It would have been great, but it appears this is not to be. : (
