My son is very picky. He loves plain buttered pasta. I see that I can order the kid's pasta without marinara sauce, but I'm concerned about it being whole grain. Can anyone describe the pasta to me. Without sauce on it, will it be obvious that it is whole grain (very brown in color, different chewing texture)?

Also, we have the dining plan. I know that a dessert is no longer included at lunch, but can we order one of the cupcakes as a snack credit? If not can we place it on our preorder and then pay cash when we arrive? If we go this last option will we have to go through the quick service ordering line (which I would like to avoid).

thanks!

I don't know anything about the kids pasta, but I can tell you that yes, you can order a dessert and use a snack credit.

I did it last September.

Nope, check out pictures on the internet. Whole grain pasta doesn't look much different from regular pasta - perhaps just slightly darker.
Plan B - You could always sit in the West Wing where it will be too dark to see any difference whatsoever. :rotfl:

That is a fabulous idea! Ha ha!

We eat whole grain pasta once a week at my house- kiddos (11, 14, and 2) have not noticed a difference. Whole wheat pasta is darker, a little grittier (for lack of a better word) but whole grain pasta isn't much different than "regular" pasta.

Go with the Master's Cupcake! Or, get one of each as a snack credit and split them.

Got it! I think I tried whole wheat pasta with my kids and they wouldn't eat it, sounds like whole grain should be okay.

Is the master's cupcake really that good? To me the other chocolate one with the ganache looks better.

The grey stuff is tasty plus it's iconic from beauty and the beast so that was my main reason for trying it. But as I said it is very good. My family of three orders 2 or 3 cup cakes of different varieties (they are smallish) and we all share.

The strawberry cream cheese one is amazing! My whole family was jealous because they didn’t order it! Enjoy!

As the mom of a fussy eater- my ridiculous child could tell that it was whole grain pasta instead of regular. She refused to eat it. But she drank her milk and survived until snack time! We might have given her a bite of cupcake, I know it's not good parenting but we didn't feel like picking that battle while on vacation.
