Be Our Guest - Lunch or breakfast?

We have a breakfast reservation for the first day of a 5 day trip and a lunch reservation for the last day at Be Our Guest. We were going to do both, but now I am thinking I should pick one or the other.

Which do you think is the better meal, or should it be a first thing in the trip, or save for last type thing?

I would definitely do the lunch - there's a better perceived value for the lunch and you get to order cupcakes! Hubs and I can each order a kids meal (the pork, so good!) and a cupcake and be full.

Thanks :) It *is* hard to argue with cupcakes. The only dinner reservation I could get ended up being for after we head home, also all my TS are now taken up, we are going to be doing Akershus, Teppan Edo and Ohana all in one day...that is a whole new thread, lol, but I think it will be ok!

The lunch is great...especially the pork! And I could eat every cupcake flavor.

All 3 of those in one day?!?! You will explode! :)

I think we will be ok, it will be breakfast at 11, lunch at 3:30 and dinner at 9:10. Do you think that spacing is ok?

My concern is the first and last meals are more "all you can eat" style so you are paying a pretty big fee for the food. We did Yak & Yeti and Whispering Canyon in one day (lunch and dinner) and did not enjoy Whispering Canyon because we were too stuffed from lunch. Teppan Edo you have the option of not filling yourself up too much because it is a menu so you can share or choose something light and also the entrees aren't a ton of food anyways. You will also be spending a lot of time sitting down at the restaurants and not at the parks. BUT, I always caution when giving feedback because everyone is different. If you really want to enjoy those three dining experiences, can control not overstuffing yourself, and don't mind not eating "too" much when paying a high price for an "all you can eat" meal - then go for it and enjoy!

Yeah those were my initial concerns too, I think it will be ok, we aren't stuff ourselves to get our money's worth kind of people, and Akershus isn't really a buffet anymore right? We are spending the whole day at Epcot mostly walking and doing the Agent P thing so I am hoping by 9pm we will have built up an appetite again? Originally it was going to be either / or Akershus or Teppan Edo the kids chose Teppan Edo then the next day my DD who is 7 said she really wants to do the princesses and since she is getting older and this might be the last year she actually wants to do that I feel like we should do it. Oy, now I am starting to doubt myself!

I vote lunch as well.

I am vegetarian so my choices are very limited. The vegetarian option is actually the same at breakfast and lunch (vegetable quiche) but cost $6 less at lunch. Plus the cupcake is amazing and a lot better than the pastries at breakfast (which were pretty dry the day I had them). If you are DDP this may not be an issue, but if paying out of pocket that's definitely something to consider.

Dinner is my favorite meal there, but between breakfast and lunch, I think lunch is better.

I LOVE French onion soup and we are going in December, so it might be cool enough for soup to be really satisfying!

Lunch is better - the braised pork and the lemon meringue cupcake mmmmm!

At breakfast you have generic pastries (like in supermarket) but if you like brie cheese and baguette it's perfect.

People keep mentioning the pork and I hadn't even noticed it on the menu, I need to go look again :)

Breakfast if you can get into the park before opening. The food seemed pretty good, too. Both meals were shareable, so maybe do both.
