We have lunch fast pass plus reservations for Be Our Guest for our upcoming trip in June. We chose the option of picking our meals ahead of time. I am having a hard time deciding between the carved turkey sandwich or the Croque Monsieur. Anyone who's been there please let me know how the food is. :confused3

This is strictly my opinion and others may disagree but we were there last week and in my family's opinion, the food was not good. I had the Croque Monsieur and the bechamel sauce was cold and the bread was hard. My DSs had the kid's grilled cheese and if it hadn't been for the tomato soup, I'm not sure they could have eaten them. They were that tough. Everything arrived cold. The only thing that was palatable was the roast beef sandwich that DH ordered. So disappointed. :( It honestly felt like throwing $$ in the trash. We much preferred the QS at Cookes of Dublin to BOG.

Here are pics

Croque Monsieur-Over half went into the trash

Roast beef

grilled cheese sticks-luckily DS likes tomato soup

The carved beef and turkey sandwiches were great last October. We are going again in a couple weeks and sticking to what we liked. You can't really go wrong with the crusty bread and the horseradish sauce on the beef was SO good.

Well the turkey sandwich is my choice so maybe we should stick to our reservation.

We had the roast beef, the pork thing (can't remember what it's called! Haha) and onion soup and everything was delicious. But it also seems like everything in MK is hit or miss. Our dinner at BOG was horrible.

Yes, the carved beef that DH had was the only saving grace of the whole meal. Everything else just seemed like it had been prepared WELL before we ordered it. Give it a shot, you may find something that you like. I read many threads about the food not being good before we went but I still had to try it for myself. :rolleyes1

I have eaten at BOG three times for lunch and each time had the carved turkey sandwich. Each time it has been fresh, hot, and delicious - granted, I get it without the mayo, but I don't like mayo! I LOVE this sandwich! The thick turkey, the garlicky bread. It's my second favorite QS for lunch after CHH (salmon and broccoli? yes please!).

I'm sorry Disney but that's not a croque-monsieur! I've never seen a croque-monsieur with two slices of bread (the real thing is open-faced) and around here most lunch places have it on their menu.

We've had both, and they were both ok. BUT, last time we got the Braised Pork, and have not stopped talking about it since. Delicious!!!

Like the pp I thought that the Croque qas just ok. DH loved the pork though.

We've been to BOG once for dinner and twice for lunch, and tried a number of different items between the five of us. Winners include the pork at lunch (although our teen said it was really good the first time and just OK the second time) and the leek soup. The grilled cheese was just OK, and the tomato soup was too acidic for our 7-year-old (he usually loves tomato soup.) The croque was OK.

In the end, we think it's among the best CS locations in MK for the combination of OK food and great atmosphere. Part of the reason we're less harsh on the food is the unique atmosphere and the fact that we had FP+ both times for lunch. So we don't expect a ton in terms of food quality and it's slightly less expensive than a TS restaurant (we have TIW and the discount applies at TS but not CS, so the cost is more similar between the two for us.) In the future, if we don't get a FP+ for BOG, we'll make an ADR for LTT. We think the food is better at LTT, but the atmosphere isn't as fun.

We're eating here in June. My mother called from WDW to tell me that the quiche she had at BOG was the best quiche she has ever had in her life. Mind you, this only helps if you like quiche...

Hope this helps. . .

Our reviews: (we think lunch is better than dinner)
LUNCH:
. . . tuna or chicken nicoise - good, but light on olives
. . . croque monsieur - nice, but Béchamel needs more nutmeg
. . . turkey on a warm baguette - average, nice dijon
. . . roast beef sandwich - tasty, but slightly tough
. . . braised pork - recommended
. . . vegetable quiche - wife liked it (men don't eat such)
DINNER:
. . . pork rack chop - the pasta out-shined the pork
. . . braised pork - recommended
. . . chicken breast - nicely done and recommended
. . . pan-seared salmon - cooked well, but average taste
. . . grilled strip steak - good, not great, steak
. . . sautéed shrimp and scallops - only average

I had the croque on our last trip and didn't really like it. It was much more of a ham and cheese on multi grain bread then an actual croque. The sauce was barely noticable and the bread was all wrong. I know Disney is trying to be healthier but multi grain bread is completely wrong for this type of sandwhich. My DH had either the turkey or beef sandwhich and really liked it. We are giving it another try on our next trip. The automosphere and free drink refills are enough to give it a second chance.

Thanks, I was just about to ask about the quiche. I want to eat at BOG for lunch so bad. Since it is considered a Lunch Credit on DDP, I think it will be worth it to eat in such a pretty location.

the braised pork was fantastic! best meal of the trip and more like a TS meal than CS.

I did not like the bread on the croquet and the béchamel was barely noticeable. We really like the turkey sandwich and the roast beef sandwich. Both soups are also really good and the cupcakes are wonderful. We love lunch here.

Our dinner at BoG was awful to the point we canceled a second reservation we had there for diner for two months later.
