Be Our Guest Lunch FastPass Thread [PLEASE read the FAQs in the first post!]

I have an old bog lunch FP account from an on property resort stay about 18 months ago. Since then I have always been able to make a bog FP 7 days out when staying off property which has been awesome! But now we have 2 on property stays next month starting on the 13th and I still only have the option of 7 days out. Anyone have advice or suggestions?? TIA

Use a new email and new reservation to make a new profile. You should be all set! :)

Hi,:wave2:

I'm sorry if this has been addressed before. I searched and searched but couldn't find the answer:). So.. my question is.. if i have made my FP+ for lunch but have already changed our arrival time once, will the system allow for another time change?:scratchin

I've been trying to go in and change it but it just asks for a meal selection :confused3 Sorry i hope this makes sense.

Thanks for your help

Happy Holidays!!

I've read the first post and pages upon pages of the questions. All very helpful! But, I'm still confused about one point. Our party is in two rooms so two reservations numbers. Everyone is linked in MDE.

In theory, should I be able to book for everyone using only one reservation number? Or should I expect to have to try to book overlapping times using both reservation numbers?

Of course, I understand that in theory and how the system works on any particular day may not be the same thing. We have a dinner ADR at 4pm on our last day, but between naps etc. I have a feeling we won't be able to make that time. A lunch would be perfect!

And does the system still only allow you to book one reservation during your stay?

You may find that the two liked bookings both show up and you can book all at once, but most likely you'll need to make two reservations, using the tips mentioning in the FAQ (possibly using two logins). Sadly it's not an exact science.

We are in the same situation. I booked yesterday and had to use two reservations and get overlapping times. I called dining reservations and they told me they cant help me with this, it is something separate. Finally got overlapping times. I had to change it a few times to get right times. Good luck!:)

A friend of mine received this email. She didn't request a FP+ for this and was wondering if anyone else has received something similar? We've already have dinner reservation at BOG for our group.

"Now for a limited time, you may be able to participate in a test for lunch at Be Our Guest Restaurant. Step inside the Beast’s enchanted castle and experience a meal unlike any before. You can select an arrival window and pre-order meals for your entire party* before arriving at Be Our Guest Restaurant and on the day of your lunch, with your MagicBand**, you’ll be able to breeze by the line, confirm and pay for your order."

I got this today and also had a dinner ressie already. I came for more info and haven't seen any. I went ahead and did it - I was given 2 lunch options for each day of our trip, and then preordered. I already had my FP+ booked for the day and it doesn't seem to have knocked any off, so thats nice.

what is the benefit of preordering? Why not just go at the proper time and order then? I am with a group, and I seriously cannot concieve of knowing what I want to eat next month for lunch....:rotfl:

I suppose it would be faster. You wouldn't have to go to the kiosk to order.

We preordered twice and ended up making changes once we were there. So lesson learned. No more preordering for us. :goodvibes

Appears the BOG fast pass page is having issues logging me in this morning...ah well, will try again tomorrow...

We won't bother doing the food pre-order again. They had our FP+ but they'd lost the food pre-order anyway so might as well just order when you get there. Honestly it was our second time and the food wasn't that great either time so we probably won't bother eating there again. I know people just rave over it but neither of us was really impressed either time. The atmosphere and surroundings are amazing but the food was just okay to us.

Yes--having trouble on the site, too. Made Fastpass reservations a few weeks ago for 1/6. Can log in to site but cannot see reservations--says to just check with member services upon my arrival. Lets me start to make a new reservation, but then says I have another one and asks if I want to cancel it. Frustrating--hope it's not lost!!!

Just wanted to pop in a say a big THANKS to Andre and others for the helpful information in this thread. I was able to secure my reservation this morning but would not have been successful without all the tips and tricks found here (and I needed most of those tips and tricks)!

The benefit would be getting seated a little quicker. However, we have preordered 2x and both times when we showed up for our meal the orders were not there. To be honest, I sort of expected it the 2nd time so it wasn't that big of a deal to quickly place my order again. But the 1st time was indeed somewhat of a big deal because it was all new to me and a little frustrating.

Hello,
I think I remember saying that I would let you know how it worked for me when I actually got to the 27-day mark, so here I am!

To recap, I am a single woman traveling with a family of four, and we have two separate room reservations, and two separate MDE accounts (we're linked as Friends and Family).

When I first logged on to the Be Our Guest website, I used my email and the family's 12-digit confirmation number (it was before the 60-day mark, so I used the memory maker confirmation number; it was only later that I learned that this number is linked to the family's resort reservation, and I have my own number which is connected to my resort reservation), and it had grouped me with the mom, daughter and son from the other family. Then, I used the family's email and my 12-digit number to access Be Our Guest for the dad.

The 27-day mark for the day we want to have lunch is today, and we live in Pacific Time, so at 11:00pm last night I logged on and tried to make the FP+ reservations. Something really weird is that it had switched some of the names around, so the other family was now grouped together on the account that used my email (the one that I had originally made using their 12-digit number), and I was alone on a separate account which used the family's email (that was the account I made using my 12-digit number). No big deal, just weird. The only explanation I can think of is that it is connected to the memory maker, since that's the only change we really made between when I made the Be Our Guest accounts and now. We changed the Memory Maker account so that I am the primary account holder, instead of the dad, since I will be staying at Disney 3 days longer than the rest of the family and we just wanted to make sure it would still work for me after they leave.

Anyway, at 11:00pm Pacific Time, I logged on and tried to go to the date, but it still said no FP+ were available for that day. I logged out and logged back in, so maybe 2-3 minutes had passed, and then it all worked perfectly! I chose direct-to-table and I figure if we change our minds about the food we can always make those changes later or when we get there. I was able to get exactly the time slot that we wanted (and matching time slots for both reservations), and there were lots of other options available, too (just refresh the page, as the FAQ says). Yay!!!

The only unfortunate thing is that the family I am traveling with doesn't know how popular Be Our Guest is, and their attitude is like, "well, we'll look at the menu the night before and if we like the food and if the timing is convenient then we'll eat there and if we don't make it there's no penalty if we don't show up" and I'm like, "no! I worked too hard for this! we have to eat there!!!" But, I've tried to explain that it's hard to get in and that it's a really nice quick-service meal (we're on the QS dining plan), so hopefully it'll all work out. I'll try to remember to post here again just to let people know how the process works with skipping the line, getting our food, etc. Since we're going in mid-January, I wonder how long the stand-by line would even be?

Thanks, Andre, for your great post and your amazing follow-up to everyone's questions. I wouldn't have been able to do it without you!

Edit/P.S.: I made the reservation on an android smart phone, using Chrome. I would have preferred to have done it on a computer, but I was in the car so that wasn't an option. There were no problems, though!

You're most welcome.

I first set up the FAQ as there was so much information (and misinformation) spread around different posts, and no one else seemed especially enthusiastic about consolidating all the confusion - and Disney most certainly weren't helping anyone! So I tried to pool together all the facts that I knew or could find out, and put them into one short and easily digestible post (I think I failed in that last bit though, LOL).

I'm glad it worked out well for you, posts like yours make all the time and effort worthwhile.

Andre

Successfully scheduled BOG fast pass today, and after modifying the time four times, I got the exact window we needed to fit in between our ride FPs.
Thanks to everyone on this thread for instructions, tips and tricks :)

Thank goodness for this thread because without it I would have never found my 12-digit number. First I was on hold at Disney reservations for 15 minutes and got tired of waiting for a person to come on. I read the FAQ here and went to the "Check In" button on my Disney Experience and finally found the number hidden in the URL. The other ways (looking at the source page) didn't work for me.

I made my original hotel reservation over the phone so I guess that is why I had the shorter confirmation number.

I am 26 days out to our trip and just got our BoG lunch for our desired time slot, no problems once I could log in. Phew!

We didn't preorder when we made our FastPass+ because I felt exactly the same way. What we did do was go back into our FastPass+ about an hour before we were due to arrive and preordered at that time. Everyone knew by then what they felt like eating and it saved us some time when we got there. I recommend trying that strategy. It worked well for us and our order came out without any errors. They also ask you when you check in if you would like to make any changes to your order. Win-Win! :goodvibes
