We were going to leave til our next trip; however menu changes etc altered all that..


Persistently checked for last 4 days and signed up for alerts
But actually found ADR myself
Immediatedly after making booking received an alert & by the time I looked-it had gone..

Feeling very pleased and dd doesn't know yet

It's definitely possible. I've booked a same day dinner at BOG in the past and it wasn't even the restaurant I wanted to eat at, I was looking for Liberty Tree and it wasn't available. You never know!

Great to know!!! I have a lunch reservation that I just found for next month but really want a dinner reservation. I will keep on it.

Persistence seems to be the key. As many fellow posters have noted people make multiple ADR's for meals and start canceling the ones they aren't going to use as they get closer to vacation. When I called at 180 days all I could get was 20:45 hours which annoyed me until I realized that when we leave dinner I should be be able to get some incredible pictures ( I don't buy stuff I take thousands of pictures).

I think it will be easier now since they are changing to a 2 table service credit dinner. (And I mean for the people making 180 days reservations)

Well sure it was already gone, you had just booked it, lol! Assuming the alert was for the same time frame you had booked, of course. I have read that it takes a bit for the alerts to go thru to everyone who has signed up.

The alert I receive was for a different day-but incidentally the same time

OP, did you check for specific times, or did you just search "dinner"? Do you think it makes a difference?

I searched 'dinner' only-I was happy to work around the times.
I imagine it maybe slightly easier if you're not stuck on certain times.

Congrats. If you have time, looking can find unusual ADRs available. People are constantly cancelling. Its just a matter of being lucky and looking at the right time.

Of course it's luck and persistence-nothing else.
But I told my Dd it's because I'm magical.
Btw-she's 30!!
