AllEars says that there are french toast sticks and waffles on the breakfast menu, but the Disney World official website doesn't list it. Has anyone been lately and can say for sure whether or not they are on the menu?

If they have waffles - that changes everything! I really hope it's right. Someone go check it out! ;)

We ate there two weeks ago. There are 3 french toast triangles (a small child's serving) offered. No waffles. I checked the WDW BOG breakfast menu and it doesn't seem to have changed since then.

I see where it is listed on the Dis link you posted, those options seem different from what was available to us.

I'll take some french toast! I don't like eggs so the menu was very limiting for me. I just made an ADR for 8:10 on our MK day. Hopefully that will help us get some access to Elsa. Thanks for the information gemini2727!

There is the doughnut on the adult menu for a sweet option. Or the cured meat and cheeses for a no egg option.

Since I don't like bananas I was going to do the meat and cheese option and eat the pastries. Our trip isn't for another 154 days, ugh! Maybe in that time they'll add some waffles to the menu. They're very inexpensive to make and folks love them. :)

I agree! Waffles would be a great addition. I don't like eggs either and bananas I can eat but they aren't my favorite. I'll probably just get the doughnut anyway since it looks like the best option for me. Thanks for the replies!

There were none of us at breakfast and so I ordered the Cronut so that we could try it. WE preordered, and I screwed that up, but the CM helped us to get the order in quickly. Somehow we ended up with an extra cronut so the CM left it for us. HOLY YUM! WE ate both if them and I swear I could have eaten the entire thing myself if no one was watching. I bet you could ask that the bananas be left off.

I don't think they ever will add waffles to the BOG menu. It is deliberately a more french-inspired menu so American food such as waffles would be out of place. Even on the lunch & dinner menu the most American item is the kids meatloaf.

BOG offers gluten-free waffles for those who indicate a gluten intolerance. The reviews I have seen indicate they are basically like not-very-good-tasting Eggo waffles.

You must select that you have certain types of allergies for the waffles to show up as an option on the BOG Breakfast Menu. As the pp noted, they are not regular waffles, but gluten-free waffles.

Ah-ha, maybe that explains them on the wdwinfo.com menu. So, are the allergy-free waffles gross? What sort of allergy = waffles? Is making up an allergy a no-no? ;)

Could we ask to substitute scrambled eggs for the fried or poached egg on the sandwiches?

Again, the reviews I have seen have not been good, although gross might be going a bit far...Here's a link to one.

From my previous post: the waffles are gluten-free for those who have a gluten intolerance.

If one did choose to falsely indicate a gluten sensitivity, I believe they would risk not receiving the standard pastries as well.

When my DGD suffered from dairy and egg allergies, Disney could make her waffles and pancakes. The mix was Bob's Red Mill and it was gluten free. I will not say it was gross because the poor kid had not had pancakes for so long that for her, they were delicious! I was not a fan. I never could make the appropriate substitutions for both the dairy and egg so these were a godsend for us. I made them daily for her when we returned.

As to your allergy question: please do not do this unless you have an allergy. Disney takes allergies very seriously, and trains their chefs in over 40 food borne allergies. They need to use a special area in the kitchen with special cookware. IT is no joking matter in Disney kitchens. Once you state you have an allergy, you will nto be served anything with that allergen present.

Now I have been told I am rude when responding, so please take my feedback in the spirit I intend. I am not trying to be snarky. Please do not use an allergy in order to gain special treatment. Disney is one of the few food safe places for people to go on an extended stay if they suffer from allergies. If people take advantage and lie about their allergies in order to gain special treatment we all run the risk that Disney will pull back these special services that they offer. If you want an item that is offered as a sub if there are allergies, order it when you get there. Most likely the CM will gladly make the change for you.

Nancyg56- I 100% agree with everything you said. My ds has a severe peanut & tree nut allergy and going out to eat can be a pretty scary thing. Disney is the one place we feel safe knowing his allergies are taken seriously and that we can all relax and have a good time. Thanks for putting the explanation out there. :)
