Kids at Be Our Guest are $14!!!!! FOR KELLOGG'S CEREAL!!!! hahahahaha THEY DO GIVE YOU THE MILK GRATIS THOUGH
Agree about the portion sizes at BOG lunch - had the roast beef sandwich (or whatever it is called) and it was good but huge, and came with a bunch of fries and a dessert. A ton of food.I must say one of my frustrations with dining at WDW is the portion sizes. Of course, I have that problem with darn near any restaurant I go to.
I will never get the dining plan because it is just not worth it for me. Between the heat and all the walking around and everything I just find I don't eat as much at WDW as I do at home let alone enough to make the dining plan worth it. I really wish more places would offer half portions of their entrees. We ate at BOG for lunch back in October and the food was good but I wish I had known how large the portions were before ordering because all but two members of our party would have split meals rather than each gotten our own.
To protest, people should all go under breakfast reservations and just order a drink...see how long the stupid prices last...and before you say, then it will be a set pre-fix price per person - heck at $24/person per plate, it pretty much is, so it can't get much worse...at least then, reservations would get very easy and Disney might actually pause in the price stupidity...
Gosh, I can't help but feel like this is a direct reaction to the MAJOR dissatisfaction that folks expressed in not being able to get reservations at this restaurant. People were behaving online and everywhere else like it was going to be the end-all be-all of their vacation if they didn't eat breakfast there...so many letters written to Guest Service, etc. from irate Guests - they HAVE to do something about the craziness.
And if you have Tables in Wonderland...you might as well go to Crystal Palace for that pre-park opening breakfast.holy crap. that is approaching the price of an adult character buffet, and more than a kid's character buffet.
As some have previously posted, it's a business; it's an inherent pursuit for more. Perhaps, in order to be successful, it simply cannot be held to its espoused ideals without also becoming at least marginally hypocritical.
Way too much sharing going on for anyone to even consider it being anywhere near a price-fixed restaurant. Go true price-fixed (every head that walks in the door pays for a meal, therefore no sharing), and it would solve A LOT of issues there.
I believe we have crossed the line into the you got to be kidding me. Well I've been twice, once for pre-park .... and now not likely to return. I can get a much better meal for that AND use my TiW discount.I believe we have crossed the line into the you got to be kidding me. For those on dining plan, good deal.
That's insane! Isn't that like a 25% increase? I'm keeping my pre-park ADR but will just be having the $5 cupcake instead of the breakfast entree I had planned on.
I'm seriously thinking about doing just that! Or maybe hop the monorail and eat at a resort! If I was paying out of pocket I'd now choose Plaza over BOG for lunch. Much more relaxing atmosphere.
I wouldn't say it's a good deal. It's still a QS breakfast for a QS credit. It's not like they are suddenly offering anything better for the price hike. more like "better do it while on DDP because no one is paying OOP for that crap". It's like nearly 1.5 times the cost of lunch at the same venue!
Can you really just go and order only the cupcake and maybe a drink with no entrees at all?
If so, will you still get the pastry platter or does the platter only come with an entree order?
