get tired of scrappin them? Or just lose the excitement? Right now I have an entire vacation from Feb 04 to do (3 day trip) the pix are awesome. I just have no enthusiasm for them right now. Has this ever happened to you? Do you think its because we do too many disney trips?

I actually find myself rushing to finish my non disney albums so that I can work on my disney albums.

Yup....I had to take a break from scrapping Disney. I was within just a few pages of finishing our 2002 trip and I just couldn't do it any more!! I took a few months off and just did family/kid stuff and then went back and finished the last few pages. Right now I have found that if I switch out every few weeks it keeps me from getting scrappers block. I have been working on our 2004 WDW/SeaWorld trip, but I took some time to work on DD's book and then did a scrapbook for a gift, plus worked on my Dad's gardening scrapbook. Now I am back onto our 2004 trip (and getting REALLY tired of SeaWorld pics!)! I think like anything "creative" you need to switch things up sometimes or you lose your momentum and/or your creative spark.

Sometimes I challenge myself to use an unusual paper color or an unusual embellishment. It helps me start thinking "outside of the box" so to speak and will usually get my creative juices flowing again!.............P

I got burnt out, too. I've been once a year, every year, since 2001 and last years trip I made 2 albums. Just too much of a good thing I guess.

I loved every minute of making my album for our last trip. I can't wait to get started on the one that I'm going to make when we return in December. However, I just worked on a 7x7 album, and I HATED it. It was from DH and my first trip 6 years ago. I don't like the small albums. It's too hard to put "fun" stuff and good pictures.

Well after next week I'll be 2 trips behinds scrapping...

Well okay- Its not *that* bad- I've done over half of the last trip and most of the May trip

Dont think the Nov trip will warrent NEAR the pages the July trip did (3 days vs 9 days)

No- they're my favorites to scrap! I don't think we go often enough. :teeth: I'm esp having fun with my latest one cause I get to use all the fab swap items we did last year! :cheer2: It makes album making a BREEZE.

We live an hour and a half away so we go quite a bit. It does get challenging to scrap the same pictures of the kids with Mickey or on the teacups. I can't wait until they are willing to try some different things. I have been trying to work in some different character meals so I don't have to scrap another Crystal Palace layout!

I have also been trying to work in more candid shots instead of the same old posed shots in front of the castle, etc. But I am behind on the Disney trips, it's hard!

from doing my Disney albums. I have been 3 times this year and when I start to feel a mental block coming, I put all my Disney supplies away and work on other albums. Then go back and look at my Disney pics and finish up the albums.

Soooooooo glad its not just me. I have had the best time making albums for other people lately because they are different. But totally cannot get in the groove to do my Disney pics. Oh well another time then. Just thought I was loosing it.... :rotfl2:

It's that bad for me! I have to do 2001, 2003, 2004, Oct 2005 and Nov 2005 that is coming up in 2 weeks.

eeee gads...glad I'm not you cobbler. Gosh I would probably have a disney scrapbooking breakdown. :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: I am only two trips behind:one I have never done, and one I took out of a spiral bound book I had glue sticked it in......ahhhahah imagine that :earseek:

Doesn't matter what the subject matter is - do it long enough and it gets to the point of "ok, if I just finish these next X layouts I can go on to this other more exciting topic". Mixing it up is good but I tend to be so goal oriented that I scrap to finish or catch up a certain album (like right now DD's Girl Scout book) and then move to the next project.

I definately get overwhelmed with scrapping my Disney stuff, I take so many pictures and I try so hard to make the layouts disctinctive. Plus, they come out with so much new Disney scrappin' stuff, by the time I've finished a layout, they have new stuff I wish I could have used!

I have gotten tired of them before. I just get overwhelmed sometimes! I usually take a break for about a week, browse some scrap magazines, read my UG and then I am ready to jump back in. I have to get done within the next 19 days with last years albums, or DFi is teasing me that I can't buy any scrap stuff at disney! I only have about 10 LO left, so wish me luck!

Yep, I start running out of new or different ideas. That's why I like to look at others Disney pages! :cool1: Great inspiration.

I took a break from our 2004 WDW & Cruise album and did Yellowstone instead (using Basic Grey).

yeah, I get my disney fill and have to work on other stuff.

We leave tomorrow and I have about 30 pages done in advance, so hopefully that will help.
