About 300 people in my class. We don't keep in touch.

Not really sure, I went to a school at a time/place where most went into trades not for advanced degrees. I don't think my class has a single, Dr, lawyer, engineer etc but there are plenty of successful skilled trade workers, social workers, business degrees etc. Several of my class mates went back to school as adults, one friend of mine became an RN two weeks ago at the age of 49, another friend returned to school in her 40s when her kids were grown and is now a mechanical engineer.

One interesting thing is that of my social group, we all pushed our kids to obtain college degrees and to pursue a career before starting families. Pretty much the opposite of what most of us did.

My DS and I were talking about this just yesterday, he has the highest education level of his high school class. DS graduated with 500 other kids and as of last week, he has the highest level of education with a doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Not really sure as people decide what is successful based on different factors. I think those of us who are getting what they want out of life are all equally successful even if we have different jobs and different levels of income.

I went to 3 different high schools. The first one was in a tiny, rural, very poor community. I'm pretty sure that only a couple of the 30 or so kids in the class ever went to college - most of them were pregnant before graduation. Most of them still live in that tiny town, 15 years later. I would say definitely yes, strictly basing on level of education and job function/salary. The other two schools were larger and more affluent. I'm sure that both of them had WAY more successful graduates than myself.

I don't keep up with any of my high school friends (except for a few on Facebook). I'm sure there are others that have done more with their lives than me, but I wouldn't trade places with any of them- I consider my family my biggest accomplishment and joy in my life.

I kind of lost touch but have reconnected on facebook. Two people I went to HS with are famous in a good way and live in the celebrity world. So happy for them. Many people seem to have great careers. Lots of people with adult kids that are doing very well, as are mine. Careerwise I seem to be on the lesser end of my hs friends that are on fb. It's really amazing to see how well people have done. I was trying to be a musician for a lot of years when I should have been focusing on something more realistic!!

Lord no. I went to an all girls private prep school - like 90% of my class are now scientists, lawyers, doctors...involved in government...etc. I'm an art teacher, lol. But I'm very happy with my life. So, by usual standards, not the most successful by any means. But by my own standards, I am richer and more successful than all of them

I am a sahm with 3 beautiful children and a wonderful husband. I'd say I am pretty successful. I am not really sure you can compare success by ticking off items on a list as the list varies by person, but can't think of anybody I'd trade places with.

No idea. I don't keep in touch with everyone from HS. Also, success is defined differently for different people. I'm very happy with my life now so that's all that really matters to me.

A lot of my friends from high school are happy and successful in their lives. That would be really sad to come from a place where this wasn't true.

A few people from highschool have friended me on facebook over the past few years--but those are the only ones I keep up with and half of those were not in my actual class, just in threatre with me but graduated a year sooner or later.

And, like few more on here, I am not sure I could judge that kind of thing even if I knew what everyone's jobs were--I don't think a career or an income define success (it might contribute to it if you love what you do and are well regarded, etc--but is not the sole factor).

I like to think I am successful because I am very content with my life--I love my husband and my two teens. We are all pretty healthy; we like where we live, my kids like their future prospects for jobs and school and are overall well behaved, respectful, good kids. I have a fabulous group of friends online who i can connect with any time from anywhere and local friends as well. I work with both Girl Scouts and a refugees group and fund both fulfilling. My husband has a career he really enjoys and makes enough that we are OK on just his income so I am free to volunteer and enjoy being a mother, etc.

For me, this life full of love and friendship and fulfilling "work" is very successful--others may look at my lack of a paycheck and disagree.

No idea. I haven't kept tabs on everyone from my class for over 45 years. And someone else's idea of success may be quite different from my own.
