BCV - when do they assign rooms?

Checking in at BCV on 8/13 - we have 3 separate ressies because 1st night and last night we only needed a 1 BR and the other nights we needed a 2 BR. I had them put in the notes that we wanted a lock off so hopefully we won't have to move, but I still want to call the front desk before we arrive to hopefully secure that lock off!

A lock-off is a specific reservation class. If that's what you booked, that's what you'll get.

However, your problem is that having a lock off does NOT guarntee you will be able to "unlock" the studio the next day. For example, if I am in the studio for a week you can't have it.

I would call them a few days prior and explain the situation and then when you check in see if you can do this. You may have to be prepared to wait for the room (and that can take a while at BCV)

While the "theory" on the DIS is that they do "room ready" based on my experience...they don't, they assign early and are reluctant to change to give you a "ready room" even at 5 pm!!!
