BCV Waitlist for Nov - worth it?

We have a reservation at OKW for Nov but really wanted BCV. We are staying 7n but splitting the points with my parents (also members). We have a reservation for 4n and my parents for 3n.

We really wanted BCV but if we waitlist what is the likelihood they will both come through at the same time? If one reservation comes through and the other reservation does not then we lose our original reservation at OKW right? This sounds risky to us and that is why we have not gotten on the waitlist.

Let me know what you all think.

You can waitlist the whole 7 nights at BCV and have them call you if it comes up so you can decide what to do. It's unlikely 7 nights will come up together though in November though.

You won't lose your OKW booking.

we are on the wait list too for BCV for beginning Nov
Good Luck :wizard:

When we talked to MS they said it would be best for my parents to make the 7n BCV waitlist (since he has enough points) and then if it comes through then we can transfer half of the points to his account. But we don't want to do that because we might need to do a transfer later (and you only get one a year). That is why we needed to do two separate reservations and link them. Maybe you guys are not understanding what I am saying.

We would have to waitlist both of our reservations. 2 separate reservations waitlisted at BCV. What if one comes through and one does not? You only have a limited time to respond if you want the waitlist reservation.

I don't know if this is a good idea. Maybe we should just stay at OKW.

It's very possible that one waitlist would come through and the other wouldn't. IMHO, it's very, very unlikely that both waitlists would come through at the same time. So you have to decide if the possiblity of staying at the BCV is worth taking the risk of having to move.

Since you want to reserve your transfer for another time, it comes down to the risk of moving (MS gave you good advice otherwise).

Personally, I hate to move and would just stay at OKW if it were me. But I'm not you - so how do you & your parents feel about moving in the middle of your vacation?

Thank you Carol. I get the feeling you understand what my dilemna is.

My parents are not up for the transfer, waitlist or moving resorts thing. We felt it was better to not mess around with our reservation.

However, I was wondering if it was worth trying? I am thinking not.

We definitely do not want to move resorts during our vacation! We have done it in the past and don't want to again.

Thanks for advice!
