BCV Satisfaction Poll

This poll is for the BEACH CLUB VILLAS.
A reply on a recent post looking for positive reports on BCV stated when
“we do a survey and have people rate their experiences at the resorts. Overwhelmingly, the polls indicate a high satisfaction level with all resorts.”
With this in mind, I am going post polls for each of the DVC resorts. This is not a resort bashing opportunity, but a time to rate your experience at a resort. Please only vote if you had stayed at the resort, not just visited. Because people rate problems differently – some hate lint on the carpet others don’t, some don’t mind waiting ½ hour for housekeeping to fix something others do, I am leaving it open. Rate it on a personal level for yourself.

I voted that BCV was average. I, too, felt that all the resorts should be high in customer satisfaction, so I sold my add-on there, and bought OKW instead.

I voted "Good Met All Expectations".

We've stayed only once in a 1 bedroom villa in September of 2002 for 5 hights. Our expectations at DVC resorts are HIGH and we were pleased with our experience at BCV. Our home resort is OKW and we plan to stay there in the future and not return to BCV, BUT only because we prefer OKW and NOT because there is something wrong with BCV.

BCV owners should be proud of their resort. I am very happy to have BCV available for our family or friends should they prefer this resort when vacationing with us. I would not hesitate to stay at this fine resort again.

My answer is only based on one trip, our first. BCV had exceeded our expectations and we were very happy. However, since BCV was going though a batch of the same type of posts last year our expectations were most likely slightly lowered.

I voted "Good- met all expectations." Bear in mind, though that my expectations were very high!

I voted Excellent and this was based on one perfect stay in May. DH and I would be extremely disappointed if we would never stay there again considering we book there at 7 months. We would put our names on a waitlist and pay the price if we had to!

I just couldn't imagine what it would take for us to throw the towel in on this resort! (Maybe if the BCV alligator turned up in our bathtub, but even then, we would breathe a sigh of relief that we actually knew where it was!)

We have stayed at BCV 4 times now and each time being excellent!!! Our last stay in May, the staff really went above and beyond to the tune of saving us 64 points (it is a long story). We have always had really good mousekeeping and they have always left us 6 towels when we asked. We did have a problem with a room once (smelled like perm solution, I know weird) and the bellman said call the desk and I'll wait with you so I can let you in your new room. That is what we did, and we were moved in 10 minutes. Our new keys arrived while we unpacked. That is what I call service.

I voted excellent. I have only stayed there once but can't wait to go back. We had an amazing room (all 3 requests were met.) We did have a problem when 2 light bulbs blew but a quick phone call sorted that out in 15 minutes.

I want to understand better before I vote.

Are we ranking our experience in the BCV rooms? Or are we taking the entire resort into account (meaning Beach Club ammenities, etc.)?

We've stayed three times and love it there, but a huge part of our enjoyment is based on it's relationship with the Beach Club and Yacht Club.

Good - met expectations is best pick from that list for us. First rate location, SAB.

The room was fine, the location good and SAB can not be beat, but we felt it was a bit of an afterthought.... Added to the hotel later. Maybe because of our room location? Maybe the Y&BC are not our cup of tea..

We stayed at BCV July 03 and had a wonderful time. We loved the resort, housekeeping was excellent and everyone was very friendly.

Can't wait to return - March 05 - First time Grand Gatherings..

I would say that the vote would reflect your experience with the BCV resort, which would include all the amenities available such as SAB, the B&YC restaurants, etc.

With that in mind, I voted excellent. Just comparing rooms, I'd have to save "excellent" for OKW, but add in the amenities and locations, we LOVE BCV!

Oops....sorry! This was really the poll I meant to bring back. It is more succinct and to the point about BCV general satisfaction rates.

We had an excellent stay at BCV in a 2BR 2 years ago which is why we're new DVC members and our home resort is BCV!
