We had a tour around BLT 1 bedroom last month and we were sure that this would be big enough for me DH DD11 and DS8,one sleeping on the sofa bed and the other on the chair that turns into a bed. But thinking about this now,are these chairs/sofas comfortable enough for growing children to sleep on? and do they have the same set up at BCV? Because at the moment we cant decide between the two resorts.
Any sleeping arrangements advise would be great:)

No the units at BCV are not the same, they only have a pull out sofa. You would probably want to get an air mattress and either put it in the master BR next to the bed or in the living room but it will be tight.

As the PP mentioned, there is only a foldout couch in BCV. I will say, however, my DD11 and DD15 have slept on the couch each time with no problems. They are not great but they are comfortable enough. My only concern would be if you were staying there for an extended number of days. My girls usually only had to sleep there 3-4 nights.... not sure how they would handle a week or more.

God Luck!

Just thought I'd add that the pull out in the one bedroom units (or even the ones in the living room of the 2 bdrm) are queen size. They are pretty big size wise for two kids.

FYI, there have been reports on the DISBoards that the pull out couch and pull out chairs in the living rooms of a 1 BR at BLT or AKV are very comfortable for adults. One adult mentioned being around 6' and slept in the pull out chair. The are a new kind of pull out bed that are more comfortable the some of the older couches.

This is my concern because we holiday for around 16 nights! and i dont think we could afford enough points for a 2 BR at BCV:sad1:

AKV 1 bedrooms (those at Kidani) also have the sleeper chair and the renovations at OKW are putting one there.

With such a long stay, you may want to consider doing a split stay between one of the resorts with the sleeper chair, and a 1 or 2 bedroom at BCV.

We are doing that this summer--3 nights at BCV in a studio and then 3 nights in a BLT 1 bedroom, LV. Doing it this way allowed us to get in an extra night. There are only 3 of us so a few nights in a studio works.

Good luck!!

Just remember, the 1 bedroom at BCV has only 1 bathroom, while the 1 bedroom at BLT has 2 bathrooms. This was a big seller for us as we often bring a couple of extras with us on vacation and having that extra bathroom was great.

Oooh,I'm really excited about this idea. With the 270-275 points we want to buy,we could make AK our home resort, one week SV 1BR, one week BCV 2BR and have 6 points to spare:thumbsup2.This would be an every other year holiday:cool1:

This is what we did in March so we could afford a 2 BR. We did 3 nights in studio at BCV and then 3 at AKV 2BR. We actually LOVE split stays... done it 3 times now. Here are a couple pointers, that we found helpful

1) Make the smaller location your first few days. As you get more tired, etc you really want the space and amenities.
2) Pack 2 bags .... one for each hotel stay. Then you only have to open the one for the first location and very little has to be repacked on transfer day.
3) Contact Bell Services early and have them transfer your bags to your new resort for you. We found out about this on the DISboards and it worked great! Got up, had them pick up our bags, went and spent the day at the park, then went to new resort and grabbed our bags at bell services and unpacked.... No muss no fuss

:)

We stayed in a 2 BR at BLT recently. My DSs ages 9 and 6 slept on the sofa and chair beds. In the mornings we would all crash on the sofa bed. It was comfortable enough for an adult to sleep on. You shouldn't have any problems.

My 9 yo actually insisted on sleeping on the sleeper chair and we stayed 11 nights. When we asked him to give it up thinking the 3 y.o. in the group might fall out of the regular bed, he refused. So, it must've been comfy.

Just know that unless you buy points at BCV you might not always get want you want to book there at 7 months. It's a small resort and books up sometimes prior to the 7 months.
