We have reserved a 2-bdr villa at BCV in September (we are not DVC members, yet ;) ). Our group is myself, my husband, kids (4 & 1), grandma & grandpa. I didn't give any specifics on room/view request. I am going to call back and request non-smoking for sure (dumb of me to forget that), but I don't know what else to request. This will be our first trip to a WDW resort. Any suggestions?? Specifc rooms that anyone has loved?? Which floor is best?? My biggest concern is noise (with kids napping, etc.), but a nice view would be good, too. Also, I'd like a dedicated 2-bdr. Is this something that I can also request, or does it hurt to make too many requests? I don't want them to get frustrated with me and give me the worst unit in the complex! Is there a right way to word my request? If anyone has experience with this, I would appreciate any help. Thanks! I've found that planning this vacation is a big part of the fun so far!

On my first ressie at BCV's I requested a 2 bedroom dedicated, NS , close to elevators and with an EPCOT view. Well, when we checked in, we got all but 1 request- the EPCOT view part. I was so disappointed, but when we got to the room I couldn't have been more thrilled- we had a pool view on the 4th floor. It was wonderful! We had a triple balcony! We've since had the EPCOT view and much preferred the pool view. That's what I'd go for!

For us, non-smoking and non-handicapped are the most important requests. I also put in "quiet location," which the CM checking us in can interpret in several ways (away from a pool, high location etc.). View doesn't much matter to us, since we sit on the balcony for the fresh air, not for sightseeing.

A dedicated 2 bedroom is not a request--it's part of your reservation (like preferred/standard view at BWV) so if you want one call back now and switch to make sure that one will be available.

We stayed in room 233 in Feb. It doesn't have much of a view (trees and other buildings) but it had a HUGE balcony. We liked that because we had my mother with us and she didn't do the parks everyday--it gave her a nice place to sit outside.

There are three 2 bedroom room types that assigned at time of reservation:

74 2 bedroom Lock-off
53 2 Bedroom Dedicated w/Queen and Sofa
25 2 Bedroom Dedicated w/2 Queens

Of course how strickly the front dest follows this is anyone's guess. ;)

As far as views... Some like upper floor Epcot view (they might not take that reqest anymore) to see the fireworks but may get a little road noise. Others like the pool view. There is also courtyard view. Doc describes the view well in this thread.

A cash paying guest can not get the 2 bedroom Dedicated with 2 Queens, those are specifically for the use of Vacation Club Members only since there are only 25. You can get the 2 Bedroom Dedicated with 1 queen and 1 queen sleeper sofa in the 2nd bedroom.
