Hello!
Staying at BCV for 6 days in September (yipee!!) and we are renting a one bedroom and a studio for the 2 groups in our party. Are the room locations mixed so that we could possibly get attached or accross the hall? Should we request it in advance? Or are the rooms segregated by type?
Thanks! :earsgirl:

The rooms are not segregated by type. It is possible to get attached, but since you didn't reserve as a 2 bedroom unit, it is unlikely that they will be attached/connecting.

Call MS and ask that a note be put on each reservation requesting that they be near to each other. Have the CM cross reference the confirmation numbers.

Repeat your request at check in and then hope for pixie dust!

What you will be having could be a 2bedroom lock off. So if you request it you could very easily be next door to each other.

If you wanted an attached 1B and Studio, why didn't you just reserve a 2B? A Two Bedroom Villa IS an attached 1B + Studio.

As CarolMN said, it can be noted on the reservation but requests are never guaranteed to be met. If you keep the current reservation, the units may be connecting...or they could be separated by four floors and 500' of hallway.

We booked a 2BR and a studio 2 years ago and put in a request to have them as close as possible. We ended up being in seperate hallways but in the same unit. We spent most of the time in the 2BR since there is the kitchen and living room area.

Thanks for the replys. One group is leaving mid stay so we opted not to book the two bedroom. We'll try the suggestions--still don't know what 2 bedroom lock out is though...

Cheers!

A 2 bedroom lock off is a 1 bedroom unit next to a studio unit with a connecting door, so the groups can get together without going out in the hall. The fact that it is a studio unit means that the people in the studio do have a door that goes to the hallway. In a dedicated 2 bedroom, the studio does not have a doorway to the hall.

In the BCV the door that connects the 2 units is right there when you enter the unit from the hallway. At the BWV, the door that connects the 2 units is in the living room.

September is a pretty quiet time, even at BCV. Chances are you'll be close, or at least on the same floor. Are you checking in on a weekday? Its more likely that you'll be next to each other then. Of course, if there's a hurricane, all bets are off. Last year we were there before Ivan and the schools were closed because of the damage from Charlie and Frances, so there were a lot of families at WDW.

Enjoy your trip! :cool1:
