BCV Rehab Status

We're checking in next week to a 1BR at BCV, and I'm wondering what the chances are that we'll get a refurbished room. Anyone know the status of the 1 BR rehabs?

I would also like to know this...I'm arriving at the end of AUgust and I want a NON-refurb'ed room (I REALLY want a ceiling fan if there's still a room w/one in it)...I'm staying in a studio...anyone know if there are any non-refurb'ed studios still in use? Will call MS to request it if there is...thanks!

Correct. The removed them. And the jetted tub to which is important to some people although not all.

We won't be at BCV until October. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude-at least if we get a 1 BR that's not refurbished, we'll get a ceiling fan. I've never had a ceiling fan that didn't work, no matter how old the room was.

Aren't they supposed to be done by mid-October? If so, they the only rooms not refurbed by that month should be under construction so anyone staying there then should have a refurbed room.

It's like April when we were at BWV. I did not want ground floor for our pool/garden view HA room and knew we wouldn't get it because they were working on it as the last section of the refurb!

The work was scheduled to be finished by end of August. Wish we knew how much more needs to be done. We arrive in 2 weeks.

We are here in a studio on the 1st floor. Room is redone and beautiful. They are still working because we have to go outside and around to get into our area. (We have to go in near parking lot/DVC pool) It is a far walk from main pool but we love the room. No fan but a frig with a freezer. Huge tv and pull down bed. Very nicely done.

Today, August 1, DVD did away with the 2BR two queen beds booking category online, an indication that at least all the dedicated 2BRs are now done -- the dedicated 2BRs were being changed to all having two queens, making the two queens booking category redundant once the rooms were finished.

I like this idea of having 2 queen size beds in the 2 bedroom because that is what is fit for our family but not for all families.

I was told last week at front desk that they aren't assigning non-refurbed studios anymore. All studios have either been refurbed or are out of rotation being worked on now.

The context of this is I asked for refurbed room, lady at front desk called room scheduler to make request, and after talking to scheduler on phone hung up and told me above.

For both our stay at BCV and Poly Lake View, we bought a $13 table fan at Walmart to circulate air and that was a serviceable replacement for ceiling fan. Bonus, white noise at Poly that blocked horn noise.

On a side note, the Walmart on Vineland near WDW - every check lane open (22 of them) and each 5 customers deep. At midnight. Just wow.
