In looking over the room reviews, it seems like BCV have a lot of low numbers. I would like to hear from BCV owners about the resort. We have thought of owning at a resort for summer visits and would likely spend a lot of time at the water parks. With BCV having SAB, it seems like that would be a great place to be when the summer heat is blazing. Have you enjoyed your stays there and would you have any problems buying there now?

Have stayed there many, many times and have no complaints. If it's warm out, we will only stay at BCV. I think sometimes on the reviews people complain about things I would never complain about. I don't care what my view is normally, don't care that it is a long walk from certain parts of the building (b/c it is like that at many resorts), don't care that the carpet needs to be replaced (b/c they are in process of doing that anyway).

We added on at BCV this year to insure that our family, including our DGC will be able to experience the fun of SAB. DH and I have stayed at BCV for 5 2-4day studio stays and each one has been great. If there ever is a major problem, we'll deal with it, and we do have confidence it will work out.

We own there but for a different primary reason. We want to be close to the Studios and Epcot for the holiday festivities.

SAB is a great pool complex, maybe the best at WDW. We have stayed there in the summer and it does get crowded in the afternoon, but so do all of the other pools that time of year. There is no pool hopping at BCV so that helps some.

The resort itself is nice, consistent with the BC theme. It is a heavy utilized resort and I think it tends to show the wear more than others. But they do a reasonably good job keeping it looking good.

In summary, we like it and recommend it.

This is our home resort. Maybe the low marks are to frighten off non
BCV owners/visitors so the BCV owners have access to the best resort!!!:rotfl2: We have never had any problems with our resort and
now we have our own check-in desk in the villas.

BCV is probably the most requested rental reservation. That means a lot of non-members are staying there who are not aware of the DVC process, like not leaving your trash outside your room, reporting problems to Housekeeping and Maintenance, etc. I think it also means that the villas are more occupied than most and get the most wear and tear. It might also mean that there are more families (who want to swim at SAB) with younger children who might not be watched as well which could also lead to crayon on the walls, scratches on the table, etc.

Plus I think the housekeeping issues from the beginning were worse than other DVC resorts.

THESE ARE ONLY MY OPINIONS.

I own at BWV and BCV, but I use the BC points to stay at OKW, and now AKV. I rarely stay at the BC. When the BC opened, I purchased points there because I had add-onitis, and I was not aware of resale market.

I just don't like the feel of the place--when I'm there, I feel like I've been "sent to my room", having to go in the back of the real BC. Yes, the rooms are gorgeous, but it just doesn't do it for me. I have no interest in pools, so SAB is not part of the equation.

For me, the BC points are my "7-month points," to be used anywhere except the BCV. (However, my BWV points are absolutely precious to me, not a single one to be wasted...) ;)

We own at BCV & just added on. We love the feel of the hotel & the location can't be beat. We are big Epcot fans & it is great to be able to walk to any of the great restaurants. The Boardwalk area offers great nightly entertainment that we can enjoy without staying right in the noise. I have not had any issues with the rooms. We have always gotten the view we requested. We love the place so much we have decorated one of our rooms as the "beach club room".

We own at SSR and AKV and stayed at BCV for the first time a few weeks ago. So far, this is our favorite resort BY FAR. I think a lot depends on the theming people are into - because some love WLV and I hated the place. (love the lodge though??)
BCV can't be beat for the pool, location and atmosphere. We loved it so much we are seriously considering selling our other contracts in the future and buying all BCV points.
The room we stayed in at BCV looked better than one we stayed in last night at BWV.

We own at BCV but have stayed at all of the DVC resorts. Access to Epcot, MGM, SAB and the small size of the resort make BCV heavan on Earth for us.

We bought Beachclub as a add on after OKW and BWV and I would have to say for our family, Its our favorite resort, the pool, and the location for us can't be beat. We have stayed there the most and are considering selling our OKW and BWV and if possible adding on to BCV. but were waiting to see what the next mystery Disney World Vacation Property is. hmmmm.:confused3

I am wondering about the mystery construction as well. Right our youngest children are 10 and 8 so the MK area is where we spend a lot of time. But in the future I could easily see more and more time being spent at MGM and Epcot. Plus if we do add in some summer trips SAB would be a great perk as well. I am also wondering if the extension will be added to other resorts besides OKW. If that happens, then the extra years that come with SSR, AKV, and hopefully CRV will not be as important.

I think it's what folks expect. Me? I'm happy to be there!! There are folks who want specific rooms, floors, views, etc.., etc, etc. There are bad, dirty, overlooked problems at all the resorts ( or anywhere else for that matter). My biggest concern when I purchased at the BCV was Stormalong Bay and all the kids-our kids are all grown-but it's never been a problem. Love the close proximity of the parking and the sitting areas they have and the homey feel of the resort. The food area is great, it's nice to have the sandwiches, etc, not to mention the fantastic gelato just steps away. The thought of having to ride a bus to Epcot or even MGM? Egads!! So spoiled by that walk. I will say if you want a room at the BCV, gotta get in there at that 11 month period or be mighty lucky!

We are BWV owners and if we can't get int here, our only other option is BCV.
We like the area, being near Epcot & MGM. Plus, we hang out at ESPN all the time.
The only difference is the bath roomhas a different set up than BVW. BWV has more counter space in the 1/2 bath part and BCV's toliet is seperated by another door.
Different, but not that big of a deal.
