BCV or VWL for 2yr old twins?

I'm back again and still can't decide. I'm going to ask for your opinion based on CONVENIENCE only, as far as which of the two resorts will be easiest for mom, dad, grandma (very active), and my 2yo twins in a stroller.

I've heard that you can walk right onto the VWL boat with a stroller without having to fold it. That would be very convenient for us. Can all the VWL boats handle that?

I like being able to walk to Epcot and MGM from BCV. But we will probably spend at least half of our time at MK, so would the Epcot location be worth it?

Thanks!

BCV - SAB pool with the sand.......kids love it. Walking distance to Epcot and MGM....adults love it. Great resort...great location...more to do at the boardwalk like magic shows and other street performers.

I just got back today--luckily I stayed at both this trip! :)
I say definitely BCV because it is so close to Epcot and the pool is simply amazing! Even if you do think you will be at MK, the Epcot location is great because you hop on the monorail there, jump over to MK, and when you want to come home, there is no huge line back to the transportation center! :)
On this trip we stayed at OKW, BCV, and VWL and absolutely LOVED BCV due to conveince to get everywhere! We felt that VWL had to much of an "up-north" feel and not a "beachy-florida" feel. Coming from the cold and having acess to a house in the woods of Wisconsin, we definitely wanted the "beachy-florida" feel to escape the coldness.

From my recollection of staying at WL, there is one big boat to MK where you can just roll the stroller right on.

From my personal experience also having twins and taking them to Disney when they were 7 mos old, 13 mos old, 18 mos old, 2 yrs old, 2-1/2 yrs old, 3 yrs old, and 3-1/2 yrs old (Phew! can't believe we've gone so many times with them!), I can honestly say that my vote is for BCV based on convenience and the age of your twins. We used to plan our MK days combined with Epcot mornings -- we'd see the Epcot attractions in the front of the park in the morning and then hop on the monorail to MK afterward. A lot of times our twins would fall asleep at MK, so we'd hop on the monorail back to Epcot and just walk thru the park towards the International Gateway while the twins slept. It was very relaxing. We'd stop for ice cream along the way and just take our time. I strongly recommend staying at the Epcot resorts or else the monorail resorts with twins of such a young age. I've been there, done that!! Good luck.

BCV

We stayed at the BCV and BWV last September. It was so convenient to be able to walk to 2 parks. No worry about waiting for transportation.

We also spent the majority of our time at the MK, but we loved the BCV so much we're staying there again in June.

I would say BCV. That is the exact reason will plan to choose them for our August trip. While we love WLV equally, the stroller issue is our main concern. We will also have a double stroller in August and walking to 2 parks will be easier. Normally they do use the big boat for trips to MK from WLV, but sometimes they use the little boats (the ones they use for shuttle to CR and FW). If that happens you'll have to stay aside and let folks go and you'll have to wait for the next big boat (we did this our last trip in October) because folding was not an option that morning and waking the baby to take her out of the stroller. Of course we always like WLV for the food options compared to BCV. WLV has a counter service area and a menu-based restraurants, where BCV has neither (buffet at Cape May) and grab and go at the store, especially since Beaches and Cream no longer sell carry out food. And B and C is so hard to get into and the seating area sucks (too small).

Wow! Awesome responses. I guess it's BCV hands down. I think the kids will love it. We had our first swim class today, and they did NOT want to leave the pool. Wonder if I'll ever get them out of SAB!

Thanks to all :)

Any votes for VWL?

We stayed in the VWL with two small kids back in 2003 and really enjoyed it. We always rolled the stroller onto the boat to MK, I do not recall ever getting a boat where we couldn't do that. The pool in the villas at WL isn't anything special, but it was never very busy so we used pool toys with no worry about bothering other people. When we wanted a change we used the main pool in the Wilderness Lodge which was "fancier".

We liked the villas at the Wilderness Lodge because we love the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge, with the river/waterfall that starts there. My little ones would spend an hour just playing on the bridge. We also like Whispering Canyon Cafe's food and the kids liked the activities there.

One other thing we liked was walking the grounds. I've never stayed at the Boardwalk Villas so I can't comment on their grounds, but there is a lot of nice walking paths at the VWL, and you can see birds and other little critters when you're walking around. It did indeed feel like we were out in the wilderness, at least as much wilderness as you can get at Disney World LOL.:)
