DH and I currently have a studio at BCV for the Food and Wine Festival.:drinking1 It will be our first trip to WDW without kids. I've heard so much about AK Concierge that I was thinking about switching for 2 nights to AK? We will be going October 8-11. Any thoughts? Keep BCV for the entire vacation or do a split stay?

If it were me and I was going to be there without the kids I would definitely try for AKV concierge and do a split stay. You would have more room in the studio without the kids and as they continue to add new AKV members it will be harder and harder to book concierge. Even now you may find it hard to get one since there are so few available.

I am a newbie and have never stayed at AKV Concierge.

That said if your going to F&W and can walk over from BCV isn't that better than a bus from AKV.

If these are your down days from EPCOT, then that makes sense but you can't really depend on weather cooperating.

Just my 2 cents.

Personally, I wouldn't change for two nights. Checking out/checking in and waiting on rooms for a 4 or 5 day trip just wouldn't be worth it to me. But hey, if you can get the reservation and want to try it, it doesn't get any easier than moving without kids!!! :thumbsup2

Either way, hope you guys have a wonderful visit! :goodvibes

Thanks! I'm leaning towards keeping the ressie at BCV. We can always try AK at another time(and there will be many more;) )

BCV... your right where you want to be for an adult only trip.

Esp at Food and Wine.

I'd stay with BCV. First of all, if you're going for F&W, will you really take full advantage of the Concierge perks??? Half the fun of F&W is sampling all of the yummy foods!

I also like to be within stumbling...errr... walking... distance of Epcot during F&W - especially when traveling sans kids!

AKL concierge is wonderful, but being at the BC for Food and Wine is more wonderful. The only thing that could make it better would be if they would allow you to exit Epcot with alcoholic beverages. I get a brain freeze from sucking down those Grand Marnier slushies I carry in each hand at the exit... :rotfl2:

I had the best of both worlds last Oct.

I booked AKV Concierge and got booted due to construction. I was eventually granted BCV with Concierge Access since I was already staying there for 2 nights after my AKV stay.

It was extremely nice to walk in and out of EPCOT from BCV and concierge was very nice, but if I had to choose, I would take the location over BCV to the concierge services of AKV or paying cash for concierge.

Concierge offerings end at 10 pm and sometimes I was not back by then.

I would definitely keep the BCV studio during an adults only trip during F & W. The festival is so much fun and we love the convenience of just walking home at night.
Have a Great Trip
