My family and I will be staying at BCV in a studio for the first time. Can someone please tell me what is included in the kitchenette? I know there is a refrigerator and microwave but what about dishes and silverware? Is there dishsoap or do I need to bring that? Also, does anyone know if there is a small freezer section in the refrigerator so I can freeze some water bottles so they stay cold longer in the heat of September? Thanks in advance :)

You will also find a toaster and a coffeemaker in the kitchentte.

Yes, there is a small freezer in the frig - you should be able to get a reasonably sized water bottle or two or three in there, LOL.

You'll find two ceramic mugs, 4 (I think) glasses, and 4 paper bowls & 4 small (luncheon size) paper plates. There will be plasticware (not silverware). You should find a small bottle of dishwashing liquid and a small sponge near the sink. There is also a roll of paper towels provided.

Best wishes -

The items listed above are ALL you will receive though. You will not get more unless you request them and pay for them. We were quite surprised last year when we rented points at went to BCV. After renting condos in NC, SC, and FL that were "fully" furnished this was a bit of a let down. For those reasons,we decided not to even try and make use of the very limited kitchenette and ate our meals out, including breakfast. Those paper bowls will not last long, trust me.

Now that I know what it is, I'll be staying in at least a one bedroom for any stays over 3 days or so.

editing to add that you will also receive one starter set of coffee and sugar/creamer, enough for just one pot.

You may not find the room stocked even with those things listed that you are SUPPOSED to get...if so --call for them--when we have stayed in OKW and BWV studios we found spoons and paper bowls were NOT there and had to ask for them....

my advice--bring your own plastic bowls and silverware --throw away as needed and that leaves souvenir space in the luggage when you go home.

What did you have to pay for? Towels, more coffee? That is the standard in the DVC villas. You can request real dishes, silverware, glasses, etc. and there is no charge. We have done this many times.
