BCV-Checking in Early?

We are staying at the BCV on Sunday and will be over there well before the 4 p.m. check in. Any luck with early check ins? If the room is not ready can we hang at Storm Along Bay or do we need to wait until we are "officially" checked in?

We got there at 2:00 pm and had to wait until 4:00 pm to get into our room. They housekeeping person told us she could have had our room ready by noon had she known we wanted an early check-in. Next time we will call and let them know we want in earlier.

We arrived on 6-16 at 11:00AM and were able to check into a studio with no problem.

Checked in at 12:30 to a 2BR on June 8. Earliest I've tried and gotten a room.

Checked in at noon on 5/10 for a 1-bedroom.

If your room isn't ready, they will issue your room keys so you can get into SAB without any questions. And you can use a house phone to call and get the status of your room so you don't have to go back to the front desk.

You can actually check-in early in the morning. You will get your paperwork done and they will give you your room keys/id's so you can go to the pool. If the room is not ready, they will give you a card with a phone # to check to see if it's ready. When it's ready they will give you the room # and you can head straight for your room. If they pre-assigned you a room and it is not ready at check-in, you can ask if it there are any other rooms available. You can ask if the original room met any requests you made and work from there to see if anything else is available.

We stayed at BCV March 2003. We arhived at 11:00 and asked for a room now since 2 year old DD needed a nap. Our room wasn't ready yet, but they moved us to one that was. (it was very nice) and then when we moved to a 1 bedroom on Sunday morning I woke up at 7:30 and since I was up thought I would go check out and recheck in. Our new room was ready right away and just the other end of the hall. It was very nice. Both were pool veiw and upper floor as we requseted when ariving.


The resort did not seem very full then. Also I think your chances of getting a room early have more to do with your allowing any room and not asking for one certin room. If you are flexable they apear to be too.

This is a busier time of year so don't plan on the room being ready. But you will get your room cards and you will be able to change your clothes and use the locker room at the Health Club before you go to SAB. It is a nice feature having it that close to the pool for changing.

Maybe we're just lucky, but have been to VWL twice (arrived once at 12:00 noon, last trip at 3:00pm) and BCV once (arrived at noon) and all times room was ready. That is so nice!! I know on the last trip it was close to check-in time, but it was nice to be able to go straight to room. I think it does have something to do with being flexible about where. I think I remember the CM showing us what was available at BCV.

Last Dec we switched from BWV to BCV, I think it was the 7th. We checked in at 9:30 am expecting to wait all day. We were given the card to call, she said with a wink that it might be ready soon. I called about a 1/2 hour later and asked to have it checked. The CM that answered sounded doubtful, but then she came back and it was ready. W were in the room by 10:15.

I think we were pretty lucky that the room was either open the night before or the people checked out early, but either way, we were very happy.

Was there early Feb and our room ( 1 bedroom) wasn't ready until 3:55. We were disappointed but.....4:00 is the official check in time.....guess we've been spoiled in the past!!! Love our DVC more every day!!

We've always been let into our room upon arrival, usually about 1 p.m.
We don't go during the busiest seasons, but we've never had to check our bags and wait for the room.

Checked in at 8AM and a room was ready for me to move into. This was a Sunday morning.

Just back from BCV 6/22-26. We arrived at 12:30 and one bedroom was ready. We seem to run about 50% success at OKW and HHI for early check-in.
