Hi! This is our first trip home and we have reserved a 1 bedroom unit. Does this mean that we will be getting a 1 bedroom lock off or a dedicated 1 bedroom?

I am just a little confused and need help seeing the light.

Thanks!

It could be either - if you have a preference, call MS and ask the CM to add your request to the reservation.

Best wishes -

Just a little tidbit, a dedicated 1 bdrm offers more storage, since there is a closet in the entry way instead of the connecting door. At first, it really didn't matter to me, but now I will request dedicated, if only for the extra luggage storage...that way my DD's use the walk-in in the vanity area as a private dressing room :cheer2:

Good idea! Thanks for the tips!

I must say that when we asked for a 1bdrm dedicated we were told there was no such thing!

We of course know there is but I am always amazed at the things cm's say that are not correct.

I have rented points for a 1bdrm twice now and both times when the members call to reserve for me they mentioned the "dedicated" aspect to the room and were told there is no such thing...when I checked in the first time I mentioned the "dedicated" concept and was met with an odd look being told there is no such thing.!

Sooooo getting ready for my Jan. stay and my kind point renter asked for a "dedicated" room for me and was told they had no idea what he was talking about!

I give up! So this time when I check in in Jan. I will just ask if the room has the extra closet by the door! I don't understand what is so difficult about this. I really need the extra space so hopefully it will all work just fine.

Good luck to you maciec on your quest for the "dedicated" one bedroom. :sunny:

To tell you the truth, I'm not getting what you are talking about with the dedicated 1br. I understand what a 2br dedicated is, all one unit without the connecting door into the studio, but a one br? We're going to be in a 1br next June, with three of our kids, so I'd like to know if I should ask for this. Thanks.

A dedicated 1 bedroom does not have the lockoff door into a studio. Everytime I stayed at BWV I got a dedicated 1 bedroom without asking for it. The only advantage I saw was that there is less noise without the lockoff door (the door is in the living room if it's a lockoff at BWV). One time I did mention it to a cm and he said I already had a dedicated reserved. They have to book them as dedicated or lockoff so they would know how many lockoffs were available to combine for a 2 bedroom. They may not want to tell you to give them room to move them around.
