BC/YC connecting rooms

Are there rooms at either resort that do not have connecting doors? I looked at the floor plan in the FAQ and could not tell from that.
The reason I ask is we stayed at the BC several years ago and I could hear word for word what the family next to us was saying when they returned from the parks at about 11:30 p.m. and we did have a connecting door. I figured that the noise level might be less w/o the door.
Thanks for any info on the subject!

Just bumping this up in hopes of getting a reply.

I have noticed that BC/YC posts have dropped off with more people either posting about the BCV or AKL.
Oh, well I could always just call the resort directly if I really need to know this answer!

I don't think all rooms are connecting, most hotels have some of each. If I recall, the room we had at the BC was not connecting because it was on a corner.

I do know what you mean, you do hear more when you have that door. I remember one time at OKW we heard our neighbors come in late at night and get "busy"

Hey Princess Dot!

We stayed in two different rooms at the YC last time (didn't like their idea of a water view the first time, LOL) -- one had a connecting door, and one did not.

Since you can request to have a connecting room, I don't see why you couldn't request not to have one!:p

I did notice, however, in the room WITHOUT the connecting door, we heard our neighbors quite plainly, so don't know if that's really the issue. Just luck, I think, in whether you get placed next to the LOUD family or not:rolleyes:

Oh well! Thanks for the info! It is probably true that the noise level does depend on your neighbors because on the next night I never heard a peep from next door. But it also could have been because I was soooo tired from the parks that day, while the first night I was all wired from the trip and just excited to be there.

My family, including 2 small kids, never heard anything either night! Maybe I just have good ears!

I have seemed to notice a lot of "complaints" about noise at the BC. The complaints at the mods seem to be about the loud flushing toilets! To me it was just odd because the family next door was not shouting or yelling, they were just speaking in normal voices, yet I could hear verbatim about their day, from what rides they liked to their dinner! I have stayed in many hotels around the country and while there is alway "sound" from the neighbors, I have never heard a conversation that clearly. Usually it is the bass from the TV or sort of a low hum of voices.

Not a big deal.
