Help, please!

We are planning a trip for this Oct. for our family of five...DD 11, DS 8, DS 3.
We last stayed at WL and the kids adored it and really don't want to go anyplace else. We can't all fit into a regular room at WL and would have to get a Jr. suite...little too much money and I've heard there is seldom a code for this category...so...what are your opinions on the two aforementioned resorts?

Pros and cons please!!!

Thanks in advance,
Robin

We have stayed at the YC and AKL. We really liked both but We LOVED the YC. We are going back to WDW in April and would love to stay at the YC but really could not spend that much this time.
AKL I will say has a food court type area which is very handy. YC/BC does not have one. ( but does have many restaurants and is right near Boardwalk)
YC/BC have stormalong Bay and it was wonderful. The boat service to Epcot and MGM was so easy.
If it were me I would say Beach Club all the way. :cool1: :cool1:

thanks for the reply!! did you find that you went to B&C for lunch if you were hanging out by the pool? was it very crowded during the day? we stopped in for a visit on our last trip and we had to wait an hour for a seat...I guess if we were staying onsite we could take the food to the pool...how far of a walk is it to the boardwalk?

thanks and have fun on your upcoming trip!!

We prefer AKL savannah view for the following reasons:

1) We like the theme of the resort. Animals are wonderful to watch from the balcony during the day, especially when you are just catching your breath. It is so peaceful and relaxing.

2) AKL has a food court and BC does not. Beaches and Cream has always been a disaster for us.

3) AKL has great kids activities and many of them are very educational.

4) The pool is nice but I have to admit stormalong bay beats the one at AKL hands down.

5) We think the transporation to MK area from AKL is better than from BC. We've waited a long time to catch a bus at BC and then it shares with several other resorts. The AKL bus only goes to AKL and even though it is further out, it didn't seem to take a lot more time because we weren't stopping at other places.

6) When we go to the AKL is is still Disney but tucked away enough to give you a real feeling of getting away. That is nice. BC is right in the middle of everything so depending on your perspective .... that could be nicer ... but for us the AKL is preferred.

We actually only had ice cream at B&C. When we went it was in the evening and there was hardly anyone in there. We took the ice cream and ate outside.
There is also Hurricane Hanna's that you can get food at that is right near the pool.
We didn't walk to the boardwalk we Stopped there while we were on the boat to MGM.
It would be a great walk though and it really didn't look like it would take long. Also the bikes people were riding aound the lake looked fun.
We are hoping to stay there in January when we go back ( that will be value season and the price will be better for us... with hopefully an AP discount)
and ride the bikes etc.
