BBQ on the Food Channel..where is the best BBQ you've ever had?

I'm ready to get on I-95 south after watching the Food Channel in search of some great BBQ. Where is your favorite?

My favorite place for BBQ is called Pappy's and is located close to Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina. That is some yummy stuff. I've been watching the Food Network today too and was thinking about going to Pappy's tomorrow for some.

That show was so good. It made me want to take a BBQ tour of America.

The best I've had locally is at Redbones BBQ in Somerville. The Q is great and I just love the pecan pie too.

Shiver's in Homestead, Florida. It has the best baby back ribs ever.

2nd goes to Shorty's in Kendall.

Other than that DH does some great BBQing

Mostly in Texas but there is a great place in Texarkana, right on State Line Road, I think the name is "Bob's". YUM

A place called The Saltlick, about a twenty minute drive in the country South of Austin.

Clark's Outpost Barbecue in Tioga, TX. Brisket cooked over very low heat for 72 hours. Yummm!!

There's a place in Macon GA called J & L that it is exit 3 off of 475 and we like to stop there on our way to FL. Yum!

There was this place that DH's grandmother took us one time. We were visiting her in Kansas City. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the place...but I will never forget their baked beans. mmm.... bbq...

Salt Lick is just a short drive from us! We are lucky here to have a ton of wonderful stuff, but my favorite is Coopers, in Llano, TX with another place in Junction but it's not quite the same. After watching this we may be taking a Sunday drive!
