Do you make reservations 60 days in advance or is it two months before on the same day of the month? For example, I'm looking for 7/21, so do I call on 5/21 or do I call on 5/22 since that's actually 60 days before?

Just got off the phone with Disney Dining to make my own reservations for 7/11 at the Blue Bayou. You DO have to wait until 5/21 to make reservations.

Sorry. :sad1:

We just returned home last week from a DL vacation. I made reservations for my grand daughter for the 200 dollar package just days before our trip. If planning on character meals after BBB I might make both reservations within that 60 range. I must say we ended up not getting Grand daughters BBB experience. We showed up 10 mins. before reservation time and the employee at the podium very rudely told me I was 20 mins early. Humm I guess the GMT that is used for cell phones was is not working proper. **eyes roll now ***. We looked around the store and waited for our time. What did she do but take a walk in before us--- wait what-- did I hear right -- ya I did. Why on earth would see do not -- I wish I would have asked. We had already waited 20 mins past our reservation time so 40 mins total. We had picked out the dress and items to go with it so we were ready to get started until I hear her take the walk-in. I did take time to ask the mom how she got appointment so fast? She had no idea as they did just walk in. I politely let the girl know we were leaving and that waiting 50 mins was not acceptable. Good thing is grand daughter could have cared less about the BBB experience. But the best part of this whole story is the podium girl yelled at me. She said but you have already picked out your dress. I agreed we had but 30 mins ago. I let her know I was aware she took a walk in before us so if it worked out and appearing no reservation is needed I would go that route. I have to say I was totally surprised about what happened. I think that fairy godmother needs to get a different position-- and soon. Just wanted to share what happened so you can take measures that it does not happen on your trip. Have fun and the BBB area did look like loads of fun for the kids and the moms.

OK let me see if I understand your situation. You had a reservation for BBB. You were told to wait by CM X. Then X accepts a walk up mom with child, before taking care of you. Why? What was the issue with that particular CM? What reason did she give for treating you that way? So if I understood what happened correctly, then all I can say is how rude! You would not hear the end of it from me, if that had happened to me, or if I was there, and saw that happen to someone. That just does not make for good sense. Unless X CM forgot about you. That can happen, generally speaking in retail when one is really very busy.

Thanks for the info! I will call first thing on 5/21 then. We are hoping to get two reservations together (or 15 minutes apart, however they do it) for our DD3 and DD5. They don't know we are going to do it - they actually don't even know we're going!

Wow, I can't believe that happened to you, Happy 2 B Me! That is very unDisney-like. Having been on the college program and worked for Disney before, I can't imagine someone acting like that to a guest. I can't say I would have been as nice as you about it. I would have probably taken that up with management because that is not acceptable for Disney, or anyone else in customer service, really. So maybe they forgot you were there or something, but she should have tried to rectify it, not yell at you!

might have to wait until the 22.. there are 31 days in May :)
the earlier you call the better options you get.. We have the BBB at 8:10 with a 10 plaza inn breakie :)

I made mine right at the 60 day to have the best options. you can always call and try and move them too..

Yes, this did indeed happen. I do have blue eyes maybe that was her reasoning. If it had been just me there I would taken different measures. I would never speak my mind when grand kids and daughter and son-in-law might be totally taken back. I am not sure she "forgot us". She had our name, it was in her reservation book, not being a "dummy" I checked back twice in that 50 mins to make sure we were not over looked. Maybe she was offended I checked back on average every 25 mins once checked in-- who knows. They were busy - but that makes what she did even more unacceptable. ( we were dressed nice, all had baths so I am pretty sure we were not smelly, teeth brushed, had smiles and were very polite when checking in). Oh, yes they ask for childs hair to be freshly washed and that was done.

I know she saved me 200 dollars - my annual pass discount. Maybe she did not like fact I was paying and not daughter, but grandpa said grand daughter should get BBB done.

Please do not mis understand I think the BBB experience would have been so much fun for grand daughter. We will make a reservation again next time we go. Please do not let my experience with that one Worker change your mind. I do not call her a cast member as I reserve that for actual employees that know job and help make our trips magical. Anyway, at the end of the day all is done and will try again next year.

I hope your daughter has a wonderful BBB experience.
