BBB Question

It's at DD in the World of Disney Store- Sooo Much fun- well worth it. I think I may do it next year with my daughters!
I am thinking of setting an "appointment" for my DD5 before we go to a Cinderella dinner. I have a couple of questions-how long should I allow for just a hair and makeup appt. if we have dinner at 5:30 at 1900 Park Fare?
Also, is there anything they can do for DD1 or would it just be a waste of time/money for her?

We did this last week. The actual appointment was only about 20 minutes for just hair/make-up. However we waited about 30 minutes from the official time of our appointment until we were called. So, to be safe, allow an hour total.

Also, I originally had an afternoon appointment and switched it to an 11:30 am appointment so that she could walk around all "princessed up" for longer. We did the appointment and then had lunch in downtown Disney. Then we headed to MK for awhile in the afternoon before taking the monorail over to the Grand Floridian for the Cinderella Dinner at 1900 Park Fare.

I took dd-just turned 2 with me...she wore a princess costume too! They don't take children who are younger than 3 (I guess because they can't sit still for that long). However, the fairy godmothers did make fuss over dd2 and sprinkled pixie dust on her.

It was really fun...and I was worried that the whole hair/make-up thing was a bit over the top for my little 4 year old. However, the "make-up" was really very sheer gloss...she didn't look "done up" in a tacky way at all.

Will my DD feel left out if we don't dress her as a princess while she's getting made up? We are going to 1900 Park Fare afterwards for dinner-is dressing up a must-do for the girls? Do most of the little girls get dressed up?

Lots of girls did have princess dresses, but there were some without. They give the girl's big pink sashes that say Bibbity Bobbity Boutique of them..so she'll still look festive! Just remember the temptation to buy surrounds you if you don't take something with you....they make you wait for your appointment for a reason..to wander around the princess room waiting!!
