One thing my 3 girls (and I) were looking forward to was going to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique when we were at DLR this past week. It was a fun experience, one that myself and my girls (age 2, 5 and 7) all enjoyed.

However as a warning, they did the ponytails tight for my girls. We left the BBB and walked to It's a Small World and by that point I had to take out the hair for my 7 yr old. My 5 year old lasted an hour longer before hers had to come out. I didn't think about 'practicing' tight ponytails beforehand and wish I had thought of that.

Another suggestion is to confirm how long the wait is. We had 11:00 appointments and my girls got into the chairs at 11:40, they kept telling me it would be only another 10 minutes as they were running behind. I would have taken my girls onto a ride outside if I knew it was going to be a 40 minute wait.

Good point. We did Studio 365 in DTD in DLR this last trip and DD8 had her rockstar style done at 10:30am and at the end of the evening, I asked her if she wanted to leave it in or take it out. She said please take it out because it hurt bad. They put a high ponytail in and then also in the front did little twists that went back into the pony (almost like cornrows).

I can't believe she endured it that long, but she loved the attention she was getting through out the parks.

Thanks for the heads up - my DD cannot wear tight ponytails. Like me, she tends to get tension headaches with them. We have a 9.10am appt, where the park opens at 9. So hopefully we won't really have a wait.

Yep. My DD has done BBB twice (at WDW) and both times the hair was let down and washed during our afternoon break. Both times we had the first appointment of the day (around 8, I think) and we took a break between 1 and 2pm.

We did Studio 365 and the second we walked out my daughter started saying how bad her head hurt from the bobby pins...she wanted me to take them out but then when I went to take them out she decided she wanted to leave them in, she loved the attention and really loved her hair so she endured until we got back to the hotel. Would she do it again? yep, shes a silly girl!

My daughter has the most sensitive head on the planet! I can barely brush her hair but she handled BBB great both times we went! Both times she wouldn't let me take her hair down until it was falling out almost a week later! She was 6 and 7 yrs old.

Just a couple questions:
How far out can you make your reservation?
How long does it take once you get started for the whole big package (hair, nails, outfit & photo shoot)??

We're trying to arrange this to fit prior to breakfast at Ariel's Grotto & need to know if this is even possible. We will be going during July so the park opens at 8am.

Agreed to the first part. Maybe it depends on who does the hair? I know the cm that did dd's hair took her time and was very gentle. DD wore it until we got back to the hotel and then I took it out (she didn't ask). She also asked to go back to the 'salon' the next day and many after, lol. Maybe they were extra cautious due to her age but when we go back I'll be sure to request the same cm or another that has worked with a lot of littler girls/ is more gentle.

Good point, as my 7 year old has curly hair and required a lot of combing and 2 ponytail holders to hold it up, then add the braids that twist around plus the bobby pins. She was the one who lasted 15 minutes. My 2 year old lasted all day with her ponytail in without complaint, her FGiT was likely more gentle with her, being that she was so young.

That's too bad ~ DD's doo lasted a few days both times she's been BBB'd - she's one who complains when I brush her hair but when those FGIT go to work she's a tough cookie.

My Daughter never complained and she gripes a lot just brushing her hair. But then again she LOVED her hairdo and couldn't stop looking at herself in the mirror!

I did find myself a little envious of those girls who still had their hair-do's on the 2nd or 3rd day. Ah well, it just wasn't meant to be for my girls. We enjoyed the experience.

Funny you should mention that. While DD3 was getting her hair done I could tell that she was really in pain and just trying to be brave. Sure enough after about 10 minutes of the cm pulling her hair into the tightest ponytail known to man she lost it. In all honesty, it really did look like it hurt but she was able to keep it in for the rest of the day.
