Bazzill tag swap bumping for new questions pg 2 #25

Since Deb will be gone all week would y'all mind if she picked hers now? That way we can all continue to move forward.

I think it will be too hard for people to pick their colors and then have the hostess go through all the posts and check for doubles, add to the list, etc..

I vote for "someone" (hostess, a person who has already volunteered or me) to put the colors in groups and then when sign ups start you pick a group. It sounds like the easiest way all around except for those who may not find all the colors in one place. I'm not sure if my 2 LSS's carry everything, but I would join in and vote for making things easier for BAMB and not worry about me. I'll figure it out somehow. My thinking is if I want to join and get the swatches, I'll follow the hostesses rules and not complain about it.

I think I have come up with a solution but I need to take some time and work it out on paper. I want to make sure all the steps are right and clear.

Thank you everyone who has offered up ideas and help!!! I will make this work, it will just take some time for me to hammer out the details!

Thanks Buffy. If you need any help, I'd be glad to do some of the work for you.

I don't have access to my stash right now. I know a couple of colors I have but overall since I don't always buy individual sheets I don't even know the names of all the colors I have. I think unless we have a really good way of choosing colors that it is much easier to have assigned colors. This may be posted earlier but I am not sure- when are we going to have these to Buffy by?

I just went to my LSS and they have 48 of the colors listed on BAMB's list. ALso about another 48 not listed. Must be colors they have stopped. Of course, all the colors they have are under the monochromatic or criss cross sections plus a few odd ones out there.

No clue what I have in my stash since I don't write down the names of colors or if they are even current ones. I suppose I could look but then I would be guessing and that probably defeats the purpose.

I can't keep up with all this but I'm in and I've sent TPCS a PM:thumbsup2

To throw another monkey wrench into the works.

I've been updated my swatch books, comparing it to the list of what is on the website and comparing it to the list that is in the 2008 catalog. There are over 60 colors listed in the 2008 catalog that are NOT listed on the website (and therefore on Buffy's list). 60 of these colors are from the Monochromatic Trio packs and the rest are additional Classics colors.

Of course, there is no "Contact Us" email on the website to find out what is and isn't discontinued. I asked on 2Peas, but people like reading my message but no one apparently has any info. Maybe Shauna can ask her LSS about the status of the Monochromatic Trio colors.

I am trying a round about way to get info. I have email for the Scrapbook store owned by the wife of Mr. Bazzill. So I emailed them to see if they could answer my questions, or could forward my email to Bazzill.

Just called my LSS. The colors listed in the catalog that aren't on the website are being released at CHA. The convention is next week but the colors won't be available on the market until September.

My LSS also confirmed that they carry 720 colors but that includes discontinued lines, the edges pages, laser cut pages, mulberry paper and the Bazzill vellum.

ETA: My LSS does NOT carry any packs so they would never have the monochromatic in stock.

My LSS said they have every color but Charlie :confused3 because it hasn't arrived yet. Because they really are chain of local stores, there isn't a master list at that store. The corporate office just sends the new stuff as it comes in and then tells them to pull whatever becomes discontinued. She said there shouldn't be anything on the main shelves that is discontinued.

I guess this means I don't have to stress about finding the colors you assign. :thumbsup2 And I can help out anyone else who needs it.

I got an answer, and now someone to email, because they didn't exactly answer my question. From what I can suss out, it looks like there are colors that are still in production that didn't make it onto the website yet (my email has been forwarded to the IT department). Probably another 70 colors. So that really messes up the math.

The Monochromatic Trios are only one way that they sell the colors, same way the Fourz colors were sold in packs. Didn't mean LSS didn't sell them in single colors. An example of a Monochromatic Trio is the Bahama Trio: which is jetstream, lakeshore and bahama. Many LSS carry those colors by the single sheet.

So here is where you can get a list of the other colors http://www.shopbazzill.com/products/ then click on Monochromatic Trio Family. Also click on Classics family and you can see additional colors. Then there are some burlap texture colors that aren't listed anywhere but are still in production: Bazzill Red, Bazzill Blue, Bazzill Yellow, Bazzill Orange, Bazzill Purple, Crimson.

Mine totally is - here's the link: www.mygreentangerines.com. They are about 35 minutes from me on the other side of town but SO worth the drive. They have EVERYTHING (except for a well-stocked Disney section - go figure.)

Holy Guacamole!!! Welcome to the Mother Ship!
Will you adopt me????

Hmmmmm, should we wait a bit for the other 70 colors or do you think they will develop a swatch?

I will look at the above site tomorrow and add colors to the list.
Thank you Hope for doing all that leg work. I appreciate it, I really want to get as complete of a set as possible.

BTW, Bazzill Red, my absolute favorite Bazzill color. Glad to know it is still in production.

These are colors that were already in the 2005 version of the swatch books, so it's not like they are new colors. They just left them off the website for some reason. I think the IT guys just didn't notice that the Monochromatic Trios were different colors than the Monochromatic colors.

BTW, Bazzill Red, my absolute favorite Bazzill color. Glad to know it is still in production.

Ah, but what texture? That's the other possible issue with this, so many colors have changed textures. Colors are the same, but it used to be Canvas but now it's Burlap or Grass Cloth. Plus, there have been a couple colors that have changed colors slightly (Serenade is one of them, I know).

Not quite an easy, simple project. But then again, as I found out, neither is just buying their swatch books!

Sure! We can go play in their fabulous comfy swap rooms and stay for scrappy hour and have everyone wait on us for several hours.

The staff is SO NICE! They are always so friendly and love that I willingly drive 35 minutes to get to their store.
