So sorry to hear this, but so understand, we have this terrible disease in our family also, best wishes for a quick healing process.
Our family has the same motto we'd rather laugh than cry so we have done a lot of laughing.
Just wanted to let you know we are in no hurry for our requests, plenty of time after you are both well and back from you trip.

She's doing Sooooo much better right now. She's going about it with a great attitude and a great sense of humor. The flip flop jokes keep rolling in.
She has put into effect her escape plan if they decide to TRY to keep her past the 19th. She WILL NOT miss this trip lol. I've been appointed the break out guy, and my mom has been appointed the get away driver..

Except for the missing digit, she's great! She's just trying to get released now. She's even threatening to go AMA. This particular hospital is terrible with communication. It's always
Doctor B: "well you have to talk to dr A, it's his call"
Doctor A "well you need to talk to dr b, it's his call",
or there is no doctor around at all which is the norm.
The only thing they are doing is pumping her with antibiotics, she's doing wound care herself pretty much. There is no way she's going to miss this trip lol.
