Bay Lake Towers??

I have been trying to book a One-Bedroom Villa at Bay lake Tower since the Beginning of the promotion of 40%off. I call everyday! Does anyone know how to get the discounted room, maybe from a DVC member?

Actually. Renting points from a dvc member may even be cheaper. Check out the dvc rent/ trade board farther down the list. Be sure to read the rules in the sticky posts at the top.

if you rent a reservation from a member, keep in mind that you would not get daily mousekeeping and likely no shot at a refund if you need to cancel.

What category of villa are you trying to get? The least expensive, standard views, get booked up at the 11 month mark by members. I'm not sure when you are planning to go but with DVC, it's often the case that you have to book before 7 months out in order to get what you want.

With all room only discounted promotions sometimes not all rooms are available with that discount or maybe the One Bedroom Villas already discounted got reserved, so that could be why you don't see them available.

also blt is the newest dvc resort so it is booking up fast by members. between the members and other people with the same discount they may have booked up already. trying to rent from a dvc member may work as well. depending on the time you year you go and how long you are staying for that may just be the best way to get into the blt

This. The 40% off are to get people into the resorts that need to add to their capacity. Since it is new, BLT is not one of them and probably has no, or very very rooms, at 40% off. Also, they are booking at the 11 month window for DVC members. Many people want to stay there. Would you consider using your 40% somewhere else?

My guess is that they're booked solid. I've been trying to book a 2BR at BLT since July '10 for Jun '11. It's been booked solid.

I actually had the same problem before finally getting to book our 1 BR Villa at BLT. One day the website didn't show any availability, and after checking a couple of hours later, it showed that there was availability. Keep trying...I think it's hit or miss...don't give up.

I called asking about upgrades (really asking about a pin) and mentioned that I would love to stay at BLT. The CM told me that it was not offered with the 40% off special that is going on right now. Not sure if its true of course but I stopped looking after that since I can get part of my trip to come up with an availability w/o the 40% off but nothing has ever shown up with the same dates and trying with the special offer.

I tried to get BLT 2 BR TPV with the military discount and couldn't, so had to settle for THV. Really wanted to see fireworks from our room, but that's alright, we'll be with family we haven't seen in forever, and at Disney for their first trip, as long as we are all together, I'm happy!

Noooooooo! Say it isn't so!! I will be trying to book a Grand Villa TPV for DD's Graduation for June 2012....but won't have enough BLT points, so I'll have to wait til 7 months out!! I was hoping to get a 2 BDRM as a back up. If this is your experience...I'm really worried!!

I wouldn't panic yet. I think that the PP was talking about booking a cash stay. Inventory for that is different than DVC inventory. I think you will have a hard time getting the GV at BLT at 7 months, but getting a LV 2 bedroom should be okay if you call right at the 7 month mark.

I also believe that they just did the last BLT declaration into DVC which means the # of rooms available for cash guests has gotten lower and thus, not as many will be available for booking, including with discounts.

BLT is very popular resort and if now more than 90% of it is DVC inventory, it doesn't leave a lot for others.

Yeah, you're right.... no sense in panicking....YET!! LOL!! We'll probably book a GV at 11 months at OKW, and be put on a wait list at BLT (won't have anymore of our BLT points cuz we're borrowing them for this April)!!

Also, agree it's difficult to get cash res...we have one for this May for a studio...but were looking for a 1 bdrm. So far no luck upgrading....

I called. The website was showing no availability and I called two days in a row. I happened upon ONE villa available and snagged it. But I booked under the military discount so maybe it was set aside for military? Hope you get a room!

I think some CMs are getting things mixed up. Before I asked about the military rate I asked (two different CMs) about the 1 br villas being included in the 40% off. One said they were not, one said they were but there were very limited rooms with many times no availability. Then I asked about room availability and there was none. So I asked about the military rates and after two calls I got the one villa that was available for our trip in Sept.
