Bay Lake Tower

BLT received a soft goods refurb in 2016.

BLT is not scheduled to be touched any time before at least 2023.

Current schedule:
  • 2019+ – Saratoga Springs (full)
  • 2020 – Aulani (soft goods)
  • 2020 – Boulder Ridge (full)
  • 2021 – Grand Floridian (soft goods)
  • 2022 – Hilton Head (full)
  • 2022 – Polynesian (soft goods)
  • 2022 – Beach Club (soft goods)
FWIW I am totally baffled by the announcement of a 2022 soft refurb for BCV given that they just had the full refurb, and BWV isn't even in the announced plans but had the full same time.

I find the refurb schedule baffling all the way around. HHI also just had a full refurb in 2015? So that should be a soft goods. And of course VWL had its first "full" refurb in 2014 (quality could be argued but still, doing multiple full refurbs now because they can put the cost on the owners is not appropriate). Ever 7 years - soft goods. Every 14 years hard goods is what they announced. If they stuck with that schedule and instead directed the funds that they use to redo these poor jobs into good maintenance I'd be happy.

Boulder Ridge needs it badly no matter when the last full remodel was done there. Its a good call. Those checkered tiles need to go. Their rooms pale in comparison to the Copper Creek rooms for the exact same points. I'm personally very excited to book the new rooms once they are done.

Yeah. I understand VGF and Poly. I even understand VWL, because that refurb was a joke and the units need some love. I just wonder why BLT isn't ahead of BCV, as BLT was softgoods (those drapes).

We just were in a BLT one bedroom this week for three nights and it was perfect. No problems at all. Furniture all looked good, bed was very comfortable and I love that rainshower.

Yeah, I'd prefer they go by how the resort is looking than a fixed schedule. I'm a BLT owner and the one's I've stayed in look fine. Fix somewhere else that needs it.
