Bay Lake Tower Studios, is the size really that bad?

I'm starting to look at resorts for my next trip and BLT has the smallest studios (and only one bathroom sink)

For those that have stayed there does it really feel that cramped? It's just me and my wife so we only really bring a couple of back packs and 2 suitcases. We last stayed in a Poly studio which is 100sqft bigger, I'm sure a lot of it used for the awesome bathroom area with the extra shower area. We have stayed at AKL where the studio is only 30ft bigger and it didn't feel that small.

We also did a studio with an 8 year old grandson and it worked!

I also think it's fine for 2 ppl. The galley kitchen that they put in is what takes so much more room from the living area which is smaller but there's nice storage there and we store our suitcases in the connecting door area. While I wouldn't mind a little more room in the living area the layout has really grown on me since they moved the bathroom sink into the actual bathroom instead of having it in the kitchen area.

Yep, I agree with the above members. You will be fine if it is just the two of you. We went several years ago when our kids were very small and it was too cramp for us then. I would never take two teens there now, but you are good to go. Have fun!

We stayed in a studio last year with my family of 4. 2 adults and 2 children (ages 6 and 4). We thought it was absolutely fine. We don't spend a ton of time in the room, but even when we did, there wasn't a problem.

I stayed there with my sister and her two girls (both adults) and thankfully, it was only for one night. The area is very tight with the sofabed opened. However, for just two people, I think it will be fine. The galley kitchen is a plus in my book. I love having the food prep area separated from the rest of the unit. But that also means that space is taken away from the living area, making the -30 sqf a HUGE difference when compared to the AKV studio, which has the kitchenette incorporated into the living area.

Actually the AKV value studio at 316 Sq. Ft. is the smallest studio, then CCV at 338 S.F. and then BLT at 339 square feet. I agree with the others that the BLT studio works really well for a couple. We spent a week at CCV and a second week at BLT earlier this month in a studio and had no problems at either one. We always have lots of bottled water and sodas on hand and at BLT there is plenty of room to hide it away on one of the shelves in the kitchenette. And the pantries at both places easy store our cereals, bread and snacks for the little bit of dining we do in the room.

You're right, I never think about the value AK studios because I know I'd never be able to get one lol

The largest group I'd want in a BLT studio would be 2 people who sleep together + pack and play. Once the sofa gets rolled out, ugh.

My other gripe with BLT is the transportation. Aside from the walk to MK, I am not enchanted with the BLT/CR transport. Because MK is furthest from everything, and you have to transfer to Epcot monorail, it's kind of a nuisance.

Most of the time, no. Allegedly PPO before monorail runs, and sometimes when the monorail is running, but not consistently.

We had the 2 bedroom and my mom, grandma and my girls slept in it just fine, plenty of floor room they even had blow up beds in there.

We have begun walking to MK to catch buses there; especially if we are trying to make a reservation or rope drop. Yes, it is a little farther away, but the walk makes us feel like we are making progress vs. sitting and waiting.

BLT is the perfect size for DH and I. Probably why we bought there lol.

My wife and I find the studio a nice size for just us, and stay 10 nights at a shot. No problem finding spots for the luggage, cases of water, food items, and all the stuff my wife purchases as gifts and momentos. We love to sit on the balcony and watch the electric water parade at night, and the boats in the morning, from the lake view rooms.

BLT is our home resort and we have stayed in a studio a number of times and for the 2 of us, it's perfectly fine. We always get a lake view and enjoy sitting outside. We have stayed in most of the other resort studios as well (OKW in Nov) and while the extra space is nice, to us it doesn't make a huge difference, given the limited amount of time we are in the room. And let's face it, no matter what, if someone wants to go to bed earlier than the other, there is no escaping the fact you are both in the same room!

No - the only time there would be is if the monorail were not running. I remember helping someone who had been waiting for the Epcot bus for awhile........

FYI - none of the monorail resorts have buses running to Epcot with the exception of when the monorails weren't operating.

I’ve stayed there with my cousin twice and it’s small. Small small small.

And I despise the bathroom door. No privacy even now that it has a lock. Frosted glass on a bathroom door??? NO.

I was so glad when I got my waitlists for VGF for princess this year!!!

SO EXCITED! Snagged a lakeview studio for DH and I at 7 months for our October F&W trip! 2 nights at AKV Jambo,(AKV is our home), then 3 nights at BLT! BLT and OKW only resorts we haven't stayed at. Persistence pays off, becoming impossible to book BWV or BCV at 7 months especially during F&W. We are waitlisted, but not hopeful at all. IF NOT, will be thrilled with BLT. Several years ago, DH and I and our 2 adult sons did jet skis on Bay Lake, it was a guided tour, was AWESOME, so much fun! Anyone know if that is still available or did they discontinue? SO EXCITED!
