Bay Lake Tower refurb?

Our last trip to Bay Lake was great accept for the fact that it seems like the couches, tables and cabinets have seen better days. Lots of worn upholstery especially. Any word that refurbishments are planned soon i hope?

I have stayed there a handful of times. The 1st was April 2010 when it had opened the summer prior. Then my last stay was January 2017. It had just had its soft goods refurb and I could tell because it looked much better than the trips after 2010.

Based on Disney past experience I don’t think they’ll do one anytime soon.

The DVC refurb schedule goes out till 2022 and it is not on that list. It would be updated anytime soon.

DVC resorts are refurbed every 7/14 years. At the 7 year mark it’s a soft goods refurb and at the 14 year mark it’s a hard goods. So BLT is due for a hard goods refurb in 2023-2024 (given the last refurb started 2016). I will note that AKV needs a refurb at the same time so one will be delayed over the other likely cause DVC won’t want too much inventory out at a time.
