I think what was missed was the inquiry if any of the TPV studios were refurbed yet because you don't want the pull out sofa bed. AFAIK they have started on the south side (that's what they closed off when we were there in Oct) so probably no TPV studios are completed yet but some are probably in progress. By May I'd expect at least some will be completed.

Above is a post from September on this thread implying upper 28's were being renovated. TP studios end in 18 and 28. IF the upper 28's have been done ( I am just back but didn't notice), then by May likely all 28's done with half the 18's under renovation. So by May, 16 rooms, 4 under renovation, 4 not renovated (ending in 18), 8 renovated (ending in 28). Since most will request renovated rooms, I think you have about 50/50 odds for a renovated room .

All hypothetical. If you need a guarantee of a murphy bed rather than a pullout queen couch, most dvc resorts now have them and would give you a 100% guarantee. AKV, OKW I believe are the only two DVC resorts left to get them.

Yes I understand this and thank you for replying. But it was the reason I came to this post just to ask to see if anybody knew. Obviously that's not the case and within the next month if I notice that nothing has been started I'll be canceling and rebooking to either stay at the Riviera or the Boardwalk.

I've never rented points, but if you wait another month and then decide to move to Boardwalk or Riviera, at roughly 4 months, will there be rooms available? Not sure how renting points work.

At this time yes only because I only need one night. But I would also be fine with staying at Saratoga Springs which is very easy to get and also has the Murphy beds too. I already booked the boardwalk for 6 nights and decided to add a night that's why I grabbed baylake tower. We were trying to hit up every resort on property and there's only a few left with Animal Kingdom lodge being the last for the deluxe resorts but I really don't have much interest in staying there.

We loved putting our personal toiletries in the drawers.

And I think this is John Hench, not sure the middle guy, and Roy. I need the WDW history pros to chime in/correct me. Really interesting to me they went deep in WDW's creation/history with these photos. Sadly, would have been incredibly fitting for CR's 50th renovation, in my humble opinion.

Do studio's still have an ironing board? Not extremely stable, but that could be a table in a pinch. Put a towel over it first.

But I agree, have items to prepare food, but no where to sit to eat. I see the sofa getting stained very quickly.

I love this refurb and now I am disappointed that the resale contract we offered on was not accepted and we chose not to counter. I really love the artwork, especially the pic(s) of Roy, who is my hero for coming out of retirement to build Walt's dream. I think they did a great job of making these rooms feel contemporary without making them look cheap. Thank goodness BLT didn't get The Incredibles refurb from the CR side!

Finally got through this whole thread! I wanted to read it all before asking questions! We will be a extended family of 6 adults and 3 children ages 6,3, and 2 so proximity to MK and 3 bathrooms in the 2bd villa was really our best option for our trip in July. A little disappointed in not being able to seat all of us for a meal but I expect that will be ok since breakfast will be most frequented meal while staying in the room.

What would you suggest we request for room if we are booked in a preferred view? Or is that a question for another thread? Would love to be able to see a snippet of fireworks but realize that we weren’t able to get TPV.

You will still be able to seat your party just not around the table and stools around the island (depending on room given you may have a full laundry room instead though)

I would look at touring plans as they have great photos

I’d request north end, even numbered room. Those potentially have lake view to the right and MK view to the left.
