I use the B & L No Rub Solution and have for years, no problems yet, expect when I sleep in my contacts (but that is not there fault). I will just keep an eye out for now. Just follow the simple precautions and wash your hands well before you touch your eyes.
I don't think the problem is a result of not following the precautions and not washing your hands. It seems like there might be a problem in the manuf. process of the "MoistureLoc" solution where there could have been some sort of fungus in the machines that produce the solution/fill the bottles etc.
I've also read that the eyeball must be swabbed to test for a fungal infection so I don't think it would be detected in a regular eye exam.
