I was wondering if anyone has ever used Bath Fitters and what the cost was and if they were pleased with the work. I like the 1 day remodel idea, but don't know anyone with experience with them. Thanks in advance!

I called them once for an estimate, our fiberglass tub had cracked. They wanted almost $5000 to put a fitting over a cracked tub, way too much for what I needed or wanted. I almost laughed when the guy told me the estimate, he was not happy when I told him I never imagined it would be that expensive.
We had a new cast iron tub installed for just under $2000, that one is NEVER going to crack.

Wow, that is crazy....it would be cheaper to just re-do the bathroom. Thanks for the info.

We got the same quote. We gutted the whole bathroom for that. They were ticked that we didn't go with them.

My neighbor told me a story similar to everyone elses: WAY TOO MUCH MONEY.

We just had some work done by Bath Fitters in November.

We were wanting to convert our tub/shower into a walk in shower to make
things easier for my son (and easier for us to help him). And luckily, we had someone who was willing to help us with the cost. I will admit I was floored by the estimates we were recieving!! Take old tub out, put up new surrounding walls, new shower head and clear shatter proof glass doors. I was thinking maybe $2,000 or so. Boy was I sooooooooo wrong!! The estimates were 3 times that!! We got 4 estimates, 4 different contractors/companies and Bath Fitters was actually a bit cheaper than 2 of them.

We chose Bath Fitters because they guaranteed the work would be done in maximum of 2 days compared to the time frame the others were giving. They did a great job and we are very happy with it.

I have never priced them out, but I have been interested. I also wonder about Miracle Method for bathroom remodeling...My bathroom is all pink and black tile and the tub really needs reglazing...Anybody ever used Miracle Method?

Wow, that seems like a lot. We had ours done about 8 years ago for about $2000. We had a problem with it right away. We went back and fourth a few times. Nothing terrible, and we were able to still use it. Then the owner of the company came out to see what was going on. He found that the guys put in the wrong tub. He immediately fixed it and it's been great ever since. So 7 years now with no problems. It looks great and is a breeze to clean. Best of all, it only took 1/2 day and we were showering the next morning...it's our only bathroom so it worked great for us.

It does depend on how quickly you want/need it. We needed 2 bathrooms redone. For just the shower and shower/bath combo, they quoted us about $1000 less than contractors were quoting to completely gut and redo both bathrooms.

Since we still would have needed flooring and vanities, etc. with bathfitters that would have easily equalled or topped that $1000 difference, we went with the contractors.

It took longer, but we have beautiful fully tiled baths instead of rather cheapo looking laminate (One of the showers that was replaced was a laminate liner that was hideous!)

Actually, we just used Bathfitters, last Friday!!!! Yes, it was a bit expensive, it cost us $3,000., but thats all that needed to be done really was the shower and tub. I think it was worth every penny!!! It is beautiful, the installer was extremely neat and organized and I believe he arrived at 9:30 and left at 2 pm. It looks so great and it was wonderful to have a pretty much NEW bathroom in a couple of hours!!! Here are before and after photos..and just for the record, it doesn't look like a cheap bathroom, it actually is one of the nicest showers I've ever seen to be quite honest.
