A few years ago someone I worked with gave me a holiday candle marked White Barn Candle Company. Since she traveled to many shopping malls in the Mid-Atlantic during the holiday season I don't know if she bought it from B&BW or WBCC.

Anyway, the fragrance is not specified on the container. It's a cute fluted bowl shape with snowmen and holly trim. The scent is delicious, but I don't know what it's called. I don't know if it comes from their everyday or holiday line or if it was special that season. Their website was not much help.

No ideas on the scent, but perhaps you could take the container to the store and ask them??? Someone that works there might be able to tell you right away.

White Barn is a part of Bath and Body Works. Some of the candles are only at White Barn, but someone at B&BW should be able to help you with the scent.

My house is full of White Barn Candles, but this goes back to when they had ONE test store. I worked for B&BW then and bought $300 worth of candles when I took the 2 hour drive up to the Philly area to see what they had! No, I didn't actually shell out that much, but that's what they would have cost if I didn't have a discount at the time. Over 5 years later, they still smell really good! :)

My ony guess, according to WCB website is

"Bright and Festive with a Hint of Nostalgic Charm

Named after the beautiful clove-studded oranges used as Christmas ornaments for hundreds of years, The Perfect Christmas Pomander candle is scented with a sparkling blend of oranges, cloves, cinnamon and tea (for added dimension). With its vibrant orange base, known to brighten the mood, Pomander is just the treat your holiday home calls for.

Maybe it's the pomander that throws me, I don't know that I've smelled that on it's own to pick it out. It is a sweeter smell, not overly spiced.

I agree with the suggestion of taking it to B&BW to see if they can help you. The salespeople I've encountered there are sooo helpful.

Although you touched on one of my pet peeves--the B&BW website is one of the WORST store websites I have ever encountered. Difficult to navigate, and no truly useful information there--I couldn't find prices on anything!! Grrr!

The B&BW website is still fairly new and I agree, it's pretty bad! Someone needs to redesign it and make it user friendly, and adding some useful product information would help too!

White Barn Candles are very nice, and almost (I said almost) superior to Yankee Candles. The scent is much stronger, and there's no soot around the edges of the glass jar.

When did b&bw get a website? Does white barn candle co have one? They have really good candles at a relatively cheap price. Could someone post the website so I can take a look, even if it isn't the best? thanks.

tricia.

It is not a user-friendly site. You can link to White Barn from there.

I think once the snow stops, if the malls are open, I will head over to BBW and ask if they can tell me if it's a scent that's available.

It sounds like you have a delightful holiday candle with a bit of a mystery scent! Here are a few steps you can take to try to identify the fragrance and its origin:
Check with Bath & Body Works (B&BW): Since White Barn Candle Company is a subsidiary of Bath & Body Works, it's likely the candle could be from there. Visit a local store or contact their customer service with a detailed description of the candle. They might be able to help you identify it based on the scent and design.
Holiday vs. Everyday Line: Describe the scent to the staff at Bath & Body Works. They often have specific fragrances that return each holiday season. Additionally, they might recognize the design if it was part of a special release.
Online Candle Communities: Join forums or social media groups dedicated to candle enthusiasts. Often, other members can identify scents and collections based on descriptions and visuals.
Visit Specialty Stores: If you have access to stores that sell White Barn candles, take the candle in and see if they can help identify it. Sometimes, the packaging and scent can be recognized by experienced staff.

While you are on your quest to identify your holiday candle, you might also enjoy trying new scents. If you prefer avoiding the hassle of lighting and maintaining candles, battery-operated tea lights are a great option. For traditional candles, 8hr Tealights can offer a long-lasting and pleasant fragrance experience.

Conclusion

I hope these suggestions help you find out more about your beloved holiday candle. If you manage to identify the scent or find similar fragrances, do share your findings. Enjoy your candle journey!
