How did your team do in the state playoffs?

Yeah it is! I know there are a lot of dancers, surfers, cheerleaders, etc. It's nice to know of another baller on the boards!

We had a very tough regional and got knocked out in the 2nd round. But we finished the season 17-5, so we're pretty happy with that considering last year we were 7-14.

How is your season going?

We did pretty well. We on the region and then we lost in the first round in state because we play 5A (the schools with the most kids) because we are a private school but the teams that we play all have triple the kids that we do. But it was fun.

My high school that I am an alumni of is going to the CIF State Championship in Sacramento on Saterday for Div. 1 teams. I'm driving up there with some friends and staying in a hotel for the weekend. I am so excited for that game, we had an awesome game when we won the SoCal game, and now its on to the real Ship!

That's awesome. I played a bball game for a tournament there last summer because we were in a tournament at USD. There were so many great athletes that went to your school including Luke Walton and Mark Prior.

Woah, in AZ state and private schools play each other in state playoffs?

Definetly not in Va, there are three different public classifications that each have a state tourney, and they play no one else. Same in private.

So you have 6 state champs here and none ever play each other except in pre-season tourneys or special events.

Public and private schools here in Wisconsin play each other in state now. There used to be 2 different leagues, but a few years ago they combined them. But there are different divisions too. I think there are usually 4 divisions in most sports, but I think with football there may be more (7?).

Yeah...the public and private schools all play together. The problem is that there aren't enough private school that are big enough to have a different private school league. There are only 3 private school that are big enough. Like I said, it really hurts us when it comes down to state playoffs because our school only has 1300 kids and then all of the schools we play against have 2500 or more kids.

Yeah, I know what you're saying. We're divison 2, and most of the people in our conference are D1; more students, more competition. There are only about 850 in my school and we're playing teams w/well over 1400 people. But we've still beaten some of them. As our coach said...we're the 500lb gorilla creeping through the shadows of your basement, making the hair on the back of your neck stand on end and your skin crawl.

i dont play bball, but i know the girl's basketball team from my school won either states or the shore conference (think states) cuz it was a big upset, b/c they werent favored to win.. but they won 64-62.
And i'm going to my school's student-faculty game 2nite!
