So I know electronics are hot no matter what the age but what are the simple timeless things for Christmas?

sled
bike
art supplies / crayons

what else???

Puzzles, (depending on the age) toy kitchen stuff, dress up stuff, trains with track, legos, board games

ice skates
igloo maker (we loved these)

Tinkertoys.
Slinky
Jacks (if you can find them) Do kids even know how to play Jacks??
Plain old Monopoly instead of all the themed ones or electronic ones

Colorforms. Again, do they even have these any more??

jump rope
hula hoop
yo-yo
wagon
bike
street roller skates
balls--basket, base, volley, kick
croquet set
badminton set
finger paints...I could just go on and on....

Lincoln Logs

I love Lincoln Logs! My son and I played with them for hours on end! There is something so soothing and relaxing about them.

Lego! I used to love them. I don't think I've played with them for years, but mum says you're never too old for Lego.

I used to love those little metal paint tins that held the primary color chips and the brush. Before you put it away you had to get a tissue or cloth to pat the chip dry!

Yes! I grabbed a travel size Monopoly and our three DD's love it!! Except it is super tiny...so we bought the regular sized one for Christmas for them! They will think it is huge!

I have fond memories of sitting around on a Friday night playing Monopoly with my family as a kid.:goodvibes
