Basic Seasonal Pass Purchase

My family and I are headed down in less than two weeks and I have not yet purchased our tickets. I think I've decided to go with the Seasonal Pass since it gives us the most bang for the buck, but I am trying to decide whether to buy them online or just buy them when we get there.

We are not FL residents (I read once that they sometimes offer the FL resident rate to GA residents? Is that still true?).

Is there any advantage to purchasing the pass online, or should I just wait until I get there? Is it quick and simple to purchase tickets at the resort, or do I have to go to the park to purchase the Seasonal Pass?

We are arriving on Saturday afternoon (PB Resort) and would like to go into the parks for a couple of hours that night. Should we buy tickets online now, should we buy them at the resort, do we have to buy them at the gate, or does it matter one way or the other?

Oh- and we are staying club level at PB. Can we get them easier that way? Are tickets a service I can get through the club?

Thanks!

i have bought tickets at rpr attraction desk in their lobby.
i've done the meal deal tickets, things like that
do not know if they sell the ap there
not sure if the concierge desk can sell the ap passes at the hotels.

if they don't, buy the ap at the outside guest service window at the park.

OK. Thanks. Just trying to decide whether I should preorder. Sounds like I can get the tickets there fairly easily.

Can't speak about the resorts, but picking my pass up at the park was a bit of a slog when I did it in June. Wasn't a long line in front of me, but there's not many workers in those ticket windows anymore. Probably waited about 30 minutes to get my pass and get in the parks in the middle of a Sunday afternoon.

And that was with buying them ahead online. I imagine it would take a little bit longer had I needed to give more info than a confirmation number to the attendant.

FYI, we renewed our passes over the phone. In the process, we upgraded from 2-Park Premiere to 3-Park Premiere. On the next trip, we were staying at Sapphire Falls and to our surprise, the attractions desk was able to issue our new annual passes right there. The rep just looked up our info on her computer, took the plastic passes out of a drawer, scanned them and wrote our names one them.

So I'm fairly certain you'll be able to get them at the Portofino whether you buy them ahead of time online or buy them on the spot there. Getting them at the hotel is advised because the ticket windows at the park can be a mess (as the previous poster already mentioned).
