Basic dining plan/fixed price menus??

For the basic dining plan, I remember there being some restaurants that offered a special fixed price menu where it WOULD include an appetizer, entree, and dessert....one being Mama Melrose's a few years ago. So my question is: are there any restaurants that still do this?

The Fantasmic pkg at Mama Melrose does include an app, entree, dessert, and drink for your 1 TS credit. Just be sure you book it as a Fantasmic pkg.

Other places that have a prix fix are Chef de France, San Angel Inn, Le Cellier may or may not for lunch (varying reports here), and Kona Cafe for dinner (I think).

PP is correct - to my knowledge, Mama Melrose only had the fixed price menu for the Fantasmic packages. Those are not available after 5pm, so you'd have to eat relatively early.

Mama Melrose does not have this except for the Fantasmic package.

The restaurants that do are: Le Cellier (lunch only), Chefs de France, Captain's Grille, Kona Cafe and Nine Dragons. San Angel has a prix fixe, but from what I have seen it is a set menu - you cannot choose between multiple items.

Doing MM as the fantasmic Package was a GREAT deal for us. It was a HUGE amount of yummy food and we got the tickets for the show as well. The dessert platter had some of the best desserts I have had anywhere and the steak was fantastic!

ooopss....you all are correct, it was for the Fantasmic dinner Package...but it still seemed to be a great deal. do they still do this? As I dont see it when I pull up Mama Melroses dinner menu.

The Fantasmic Dining Package allows you to order an appetizer, entree and dessert from the full menu which is why you don't see it as a prix fixe choice.

The prix fixe menu at the restaurants mentioned by the PPs is a specific section on the menu. You choose an app, entree and dessert from among only the 2 - 3 choices that are listed.

As to your other question, yes, Mama Melrose still participates in the Fantasmic Dining Package. You have to make a reservation specifically of the FDP. Just making a regular res won't work which is why there is no mention on the menu. The other FDP restaurants are Hollywood Brown Derby and Hollywood & Vine.

Captains Grill at the Yacht Club also has a pre-fix meal you get app, entree and dessert. I think you get to pick between 2 or 3 choices in each group.
