Hubby lurks on this board, saw this thread and wanted to share his photos from the Devil Rays vs Rangers game that was played at the Wide World of Sports this month. He works for the Rangers, so there is a little photo bias, but... enjoy!

Finally, it is opening day of the 2007 Cape Cod Baseball League! Seems like it takes forever for this to start every year and it is over before you know it. Went to the Wareham Gatemen home opener last night and took about 300 noise filled and blurred pics with the S2IS. Man, I need to upgrade. When the sun was out, they were fine, when the lights came on, they went bad real quick. Anyways, here are a few of the better ones.

Thanks Bostran1! I am not getting exactly the results I am hoping for with the Canon S2IS but I am overall pleased with what it can do given it's limitations. Last nights game was a bit better due to the fact that it started at 5pm insteead of 7pm so there was more available light. The S2 doesn't do great shutter speed wise in low light. Boosting the ISO (can only go to 400) doesn't do much but add noise. Oh well, just another reason for me to go DSLR soon!

You can see that in this shot from last night, I needed just a bit more shutter speed to get that motion frozen. A slight blur of the arm, but I 'm pleased with it anyways.
