Hi All :wave2:

DH and DS want to take in a baseball game whilst we're in Anaheim, they are looking on the Angels website to see what games are being played whilst we are there.

The question is though, where is the best place to sit?

They would appreciate any feedback as obviously we've never been to a baseball game.

Thank you :)

Hello to you and your family. I hope that you all will have a most wonderful time visiting California and Disneyland. And hope that your flight will be fast and smooth.
I am sorry that I cannot be of assistance with your particular question. But I will suggest to take a good look at the stadium layout, which I would imagine would be on their website. That way one can see where they would most likely be the most interested in sitting. If your question was suggested seating for the War Memorial Opera House which is in San Francisco, that would be very easy for me to answer. For I have attended ballets and operas there. I have not attended any base ball games, so far anyway.

Hello again,

I called Angels Stadium for seating suggestions. And the tickets representative said that the stadium is small in comparison to others. And that there really are no bad seats anywhere. Also, did you have in mind to sit high or low? Or in the shade? How many people will be in your party? Also, is ticket price a factor? They start at $14 USD and go up to over $200 USD. These were some of the questions that I had been asked, but did not know how to answer. Also, he said that their website is very helpful in determining seating preferences. Because you can interact with it.

I am more than happy to call again with your specific information.

Thank you so much, you are very kind :)

Ok, with never been to a baseball game we don't know what to expect at all. I know everything is down to personal preference but all we want to do is to be part of the "experience" so to speak. We don't particularly want the cheaper seats if the view isn't going to be great, on the otherhand nothing too expensive.

We are aiming to go to an evening game so sitting in the shade isn't an issue. With regard to sitting high or low, when we go to our local "soccer" game we sight half-way up in the stadium.

Should you be able to offer any further suggestions we could take a look on the website at the seating plan and hopefully make a decision from there.

Thank you so much once again :)

Let me know what seating/pricing areas interest you, when you have an opportunity to take another look at the graph that is on the link above. The more information you can give me, then the better I can ask for suggestions from the ticket agent.

For Basball I have a suggestion on the spot. I prefer to watch from the 1st base side, lower level. Anywhere from first base to about half way down to the end of the outfield. Closer to the field the better.

However in Anaheim consider the time of the day. It's what I would call a steep stadium. So if it's later in the day you can sit in the back on the bottom section and get shade from the upper levels. Sometime really enjoyable compared to baking in the sun. If it is a night game it won't matter.

But being close in baseball is important because most of the action is between the pitcher and catcher.

Also if you sit in the outfield bleachers you can have a worse problem. You are far from the actions and can have the big screen at your back so it's hard to catch the replays too.

So in general aim for as close to the pitcher as possible without breaking the bank.

Thanks for your help.

We will sit and study it later and decide on a date that will fit in with our Disney plans :)

I like to sit along the first base line also....and if that isn't available then of course third base line. Avoid directly behind the catcher, or anything past first or third base. At Angel stadium the outfield pavillion is "dry" and priced cheaply for families so some love it, but I would avoid it.
