how could I get into to see the pics. we were supposed to go to Vegas and see Barry last Sept but DH got sick!!

also does anyone know if the concert will be replayed I only heard one commerical for it and didnt catch the date>


I taped a show of his back in 1982 and then I saw him in concert here in Milwaukee and his show here was almost exactly like the one I had taped!!!
I had watched the show so much I knew what was coming next!


Or did anyone tape it? I'll pay for the postage and tape and time

Go to the website for your local PBS station, and see if it's giong to air again. Most stations have at least 2-3 dates lined up. If not, shoot me a PM, and I'll try and get you a copy of a tape or DVD.

I have also seen Barry in concert many many times. Each time is better than the last! He is quite the showman. I think Lisa L from MI was at the Palace of Auburn Hills for the same concert as I was. I was one of those lucky ones that was sitting in the nose bleed section & a Palace employee came up & asked if we'd like to move closer. We were moved to row 10 or something like that! Barry walked right past us to go backstage & then to come back on the stage. I thought I was going to faint being that close to him! I've been a fan since he recorded Mandy!

You will soooo enjoy his concert! Trust me!

Although I have not been to the Hilton in Vegas yet to see Barry. I have completely lost count of how many times I have seen him. Last I checked, I was at around 50 or 60 shows!!! I fell in love with Barry when I was a kid (and I'm only 33 years old!) and started following him around when I was in college. And Barry picked me to sing Can't Smile at a concert in upstate NY in the early 90's...my life has never been the same since. (I was a Sophomore in college at the time!)

Hands down, he is the best concert showman I have EVER seen and to top it all off he's an amazing songwriter. It's no wonder that his shows in Vegas are sold out all the time. Although I have yet to see the show at the Hilton, I have seen BArry in Vegas at the Mirage, Mandalay Bay and the Aladdin....he never disappoints and if you have seats that are THAT close to the stage, you will NOT be disappointed in the location.

Enjoy the show in November! I'm all excited now....you've all motivated me to get my butt in gear and plan that trip now!

I was a CSWY girl, too - many moons ago! (1989, to be exact)

So was Donna (FergieTCat) and a few of my other friends.

Far as I know, he's taken the CSWY bit out of the show...at least for now. The jacket girl thing is the "audience participation" part now.

Yes, but in 1993 looooong before the age of Digital Cameras. I did manage to get a couple pics (and God do I look young!!) from someone else, however I do not have them online.

It was one of the best experiences of my life like EVER!!

We Manilow fans are so used to being made fun of, aren't we? A friend of mine once asked for my Barry CDs to borrow so that she could burn them. My response was "ha ha, very funny." It wasn't until later when I got home I realized "ooooohhhh.. she meant BURN - as in copy - them!" Any other of my CDs I would have realized right away what she was saying. I was just, as always, bracing myself for the insult.

I've been a fan since age 8. Never exactly followed him around, but have caught at least one or two shows per tour for the past 6 years or so. The best being the "full orchestra" tour of 2000, I think. That one is on DVD and is the one I recommend picking up, if nothing else. It's called Manilow Live.

But for some reason, I always think he seems so awkward on TV. I can't put my finger on it...it's like he's trying too hard or something. On stage he just seems totally comfortable and completely immersed.

Yea, I'm thinking it's time for me to make my first trip to Vegas....Please let us know how you enjoy it!

Yes, I did get a video tape. Then when I got home I made several copies of it and THANK GOD I did. 3 years later on Christmas eve someone broke into my college apartment while I was home on break and burned my apartment down. All I was left with was a burned case. Somehow, my Barry friends managed to get me a new autographed case for it though, isn't that nice???! And then used my duplicate tape to put inside it.

I look so absolutely ridiculous in the video. It was 1993 at the NY State Fair so people weren't exactly in "concert dress". I had on jeans that were pinch folded at the bottom (80's style) along with a bright flourescent pink and purple baggy shirt. I had my keys and college ID attached with a clip to my belt loop that was just swinging back and forth the whole time I was on stage. And my hair was EXTREMELY long (like down to my waist) and I had a spiral perm (remember those??! LOL!) It is extremely funny to watch now, always gives me a good laugh. And I was belting out some words and notes but they were waaaay out of key. LOL!

Barry has just been signed to perform in Vegas through 2008- so you're in luck. There has been a change in the ticket purchasing however. Tickets are only sold 90 days in advance now- when I got my ticket sfor November this rule was not yet in effect. It just started last week.... i think???

I just bought the DVD of Barry at the Hilton in Vegas

and I was surprised at how young the audience looked

I was expecting a 40-50 age grroup and it seemed to be more20-30ish

I was just wondering if since this was the 100th show and being taped by PBS and also made into a video if it was a special show?

this might sound dumb but I was just wondering

Also we are planning on seeing the show later this year so Ive been on the website seeing what seats were still available and where they were--
but I just read on here that could only buy seats 90 days out yet I'd put in dates for Nov (there were still good seats left too!!! ) and I could still go through the whole buying process

Hi, just curious as to how much of his classic songs are in this show? I've seen him several times in concert (never at his new show) and it seems like the past couple times, he puts together a medley of his classics (doesn't even sing the whole song!) and spends a lot of time singing songs from his latest albums. I've been a Fanilow for 20 years, I wanna hear "I Write the Songs", "Mandy", "Weekend in New England", "Looks Like We Made It", etc.
