I have been planning this trip for 10 months, and much like my (1st) wedding, I have little to do but WAIT for the last week before we go!!! Of course I have 3 kids now, so the "to do" list at home (plus at work since it isn't summer) is ENORMOUS--but I always was best with a full plate!
A few last minute details...finalizing fridge/coffee maker swaps info; new Jedi training camp times at MGM; tweaked park plans.
Just cleaning out fridge & pantry (DH is going nuts...thinks there's no food--THAT'S THE IDEA!!!)...hold papers/mail...get Dad to feed cat...tidy house...drain sprinklers...
Of course we have social events the next 2 nights, work the next 2 days, so no packing until Saturday....but we travel a lot, so this is old hat. We can head up to Omaha anytime after 1PM Saturday as check in at hotel is 2PM. Unfortunately no pool...but close to airport, suite for the 6 of us, 4AM breakfast and they will take our car to an offsite parking lot (about 1/3 the price of the airport garage!) Our flight departs at 5:45 AM
Sunday, so we hope to get the kids asleep by 8PM (right!) for a 3:30AM wake up call
But all we are planning for Sunday is check out POP and dinner at Ohana at 5:00..MAYBE a quick dip, then BED.
We have a day in every park, 2 at EPCOT, plus a day at Disney Quest. We be at rope drop daily as our kids are early risers. Due to that we will likely do full days at parks, dinner, and early to bed. It may mean no fireworks
but DS7 gets up the same time no matter what time is bed....and is HORRID if tired, so it is for the best for everyone! It is our first trip to WDW, and I realize we cannot do it all, and the kids (DS12, DD9, DS7) all said the big rides were there priority, so rope drop is best idea for that. They all put fireworks low on their lists of "must dos"
Well...suppose I should try to get SOME work done! Awfully tough to focus this week! (between that and the firing of Nebraska's Athletic Director/the hiring of our beloved former football coach at interim Dir....VERY little work being accomplished in Nebraska this week!!!!!!!)
