Thanks for posting that Jen. I checked yesterday and didn't see anything yet. So, now I am off to place my order!!

Man I just got my order on Tuesday...had I waited I would have scored some awesome freebies. Ah well...I got a blush sample and two makeup brushes for free in my last order.

I tried the EM make-up, but it seemed to accentuate small wrinkles. Does it tend to do this, or do I need to choose a different color?
I am new to this! Actually, the colors I got seem to pale and yellowy for me. I have dark brown hair, blue eyes and lightish skin.
My wrist seems very light, with pink undertones. Any color suggestions?

Mine makes my skin look dry. Should I try a darker-lighter color? Or a different "style"? mine is matte?

I had a similar problem with the Mineral makeup...it accentuated my pores...they looked huge. First, you have to make sure your skin is moisturized well(but make sure it is completely absorbed). Then, you need to put on a layer of silk dust...it acts as a primer. Then you can apply your makeup. I was amazed with the results. Just that one extra step of applying the silk dust made my pores and lines disappear.

ETA: I found this on the EM website in the beauty 411 section:
Fine Lines? If fine lines are accentuated, your foundation is too dark for your skin. If you find this to be the case, simply blend with a lighter shade of foundation to achieve the perfect complexion.
Also, EM has a community forum that has a lot of very useful information.

Just wanted to say that I tried the silk dust today as a primer and I love the effect!! I use the semi matte formulation and was ready to go to the intensive, but this method really helped diminish the appearance of fine lines.:cool1:

I just got my first order from EM today. I ordered the Gentle Lip Scrub. Ohmygod. This stuff is awesome. It's these little dots of jojoba that you apply to your lips and scrub(to exfoliate) and as you do that, the scrub melts into your lips. My lips are so soft right now, and that is saying something cause it has been really dry here and my lips have been suffering.

I also got the flat top brush, which is incredibly soft and works much better than the kabuki brush I had.

I got another free sample kit plus the free samples with $35 purchase. I haven't tried any of the samples yet, but can't wait to try them out.

I started using BE a month or so ago, and I like it, but my face has been a little oily. I sat down at the IL's on Sunday and ordered a sample kit from E.M., now I'm just waiting for it to come. I had no clue how to pick the foundations, I got the 3 I think would be close, so I guess we'll see.

Any thoughts on the BE making me oily?

Steph

For those of you using EM - Is your foundation shade darker in the container than when you put it on your face. I ask because I got the Medium Beige Summer in my sample kit and thought by looking at it that it would be way too dark for me. Well, I put on the Medium Beige Neutral and I wanted a little more color, so I tried the Summer one and I think it is the best shade for me.

I went to Ulta and tried BE. The girl there did my foundation and said if I purchase, I need the Medium Beige.

Any other suggestions for me to try in another sample kit?

Also - are the EM brushes any good?

Ok I'm bumping this one up!!! I'll try to answer the question before me best I can. yes, the shades seem darker to me in the container. I also found I needed to go darker. I can't offer any suggestions, but CathrynRose is awesome with them! Hopefully she'll pop on here and be able to help you out. I ordered te baby Kabuki brush, and I really like it. I also heard a ip for makeup brushes awhile ago. If you have a Michaels or A.C. moore crafts store around you, they have brushes. They are meant for painting, but are just as soft as the brushes I have bought from makeup stores. Hope that helped!

I'm going to order a kit. For the people that have ordered kits, here is my question: Which kit have you guys gotten, and why did you like it?

What is the question?

I dont think - well I guess it does kinda look darker in the tub.

I used to use the Medium Summer Beige and on a whim tried Buttered Tan and its *PERFECT* Justttttt perfect! If summer beige worked for you, but seemed just a tad too much - try the Buttered Tan:

I looooove the long handled Kabuki:

And if you get the kit - that you get to pick what you what - both the medium intensive and the tan intensive are fabulous concealors. Very similar in color - IRL.

Also, Clinique has a pore minimizer in a tube that is great for using before a moineral makeup!

I love the brushes. They are the best that I've tried. (but I am new to this!)

What I have found with the eyeshadows is that they are not nearly as dark as on the website. The 2 I got with my kit I don't really like b/c they are way lighter than I thought they'd be.:headache:

AGreed - not a fan of their shadows.

I should go thorugh them - list what I have and mail them out to whoever wants themhere.

I am way new to all of this.

I only wear make-up on special occasions and then I generally don't wear foundation. I do use the Physicians' Formula green powder to minimize the redness from rosacea.

That being said, I have been intrigued by the mineral make-up. I just bought some of the Loreal make-up and plan on trying it tonight.

I will look at the EM website to see what they have.

I have very fair skin. I have a blue undertone on my wrists. I do not tan. I have dark blonde hair and blue eyes. Any suggestions on colors? I want a light coverage since I don't usually wear make-up at all.
